Hi, all you talented designers out there. Looking for a logo for my web design/web development company Navicom Networks. Brief: Less is more. Looking for something simple, clean and modern. With or without symbol. Color scheme doesn't matter. I am about to redo the web site soon anyway and a new logo would be a great starting point. Requirements: Illustrator vector file preferably but layered Photoshop might work for web version of the logo. No-nos: No Photoshop bevel effects please. I guarantee quick feedback to each participant. My objective with this contest is to get in touch with talented designers for a project that will require several logo designers, web designers and banner creators for a number of sites. More about this later. Style: any style you like. I am open for suggestions. In the more web2.0 style this is a nice one http://weiksner.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/yasnap1.png In a slightly different style, here is another one I like http://anekostudios.com/ If you use symbols, it should be something subtle and clean like this http://www.studio3k.com/ Here are my own quick drafts just to confuse you further. This is not necessarily what I want, otherwise I would use one of them, but I want something with this simplicity.
Thank you for your entry. Overall very nice. The symbol: I like the simplicity of it but I think I would prefer it even simpler, if possible. The fonts: I like that you use a bold and a regular for separating the words. I like the first font. I am not crazy about the second one. Perhaps something narrower that matches the first one better? The second N being the same height as the last "m"? Yes, maybe so, hadn't thought about that. Need some time to digest it.
Thanks for your entry. Not crazy about the "N"s. The font you are using is nice, but doesn't seem to work perfectly in smaller sizes. Perhaps not a screen font? As I wrote in my breif, no bevel effects in the logo, please. The effect in your avatar is nice, but I am not crazy about Photoshop bevel effects.
Also forgot to mention: style can be any style you like. I am open for suggestions. In the more web2.0 style this is a nice one http://weiksner.com/2008/05/27/crowdsourcing-web-design/ In a slightly different style, here is another one I like http://anekostudios.com/
My pleasure! I like the simplicity, the shade of green and the font. I like the tag line although perhaps it should align with the second N? It is a good idea to do something above the "i". Could you however try something different than the three circles?
Thanks for your entry Andi. I LOVE your designs and logos, so please don't take the feedback wrong way. Could you please try a different font? Something rounder. This font looks like something for a gaming site. Here are two completely different logos that I like http://weiksner.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/yasnap1.png http://anekostudios.com The first one isn't so much as a logo as a visual effect that stands out well on a web page, but that is ok too. I am open for suggestions.
I like the font and the effects! Could you try navicom with a lower case "n" instead? Could you try this with a bolder color? I am not to crazy about the round symbol. Could you try something else?
