Contest $15 Logo Contest (72 Hours)

I am looking for a new logo for our nonprofit. The name of our organization is Caring Cans. We collect aluminum cans, recycle them, then donate the money to local charities. We currently don't have our website up and running. Here are the basic guidelines for the contest:

• We would like a logo using an aluminum can or a can shape along with a heart
• The logo should have green as the primary color, but also includes other splashes of blue and yellow. (Colors are not absolutely necessary, but preferred. If you feel you have a strong design with different colors, feel free to submit)
• The logo also should be simple enough to be printed in black and white and still look professional
• The logo should have "Caring Cans", but could also be printed independent of the text
• The winner will need to provide the logo in psd or vector
• No entries will be accepted through personal messages
• Contest will be 72 hours long, or until a clear winner is decided

I have attached a logo sample I created (obviously, I am not satisfied with it, so be sure not to duplicate my bad idea). This may give you some ideas for which shapes and colors to use. However, don't be afraid to think bigger than my design.

I like the colors you used, especially the shade of green and blue. However, I don't know if this design would look great in black and white. Maybe remove the transition from green to black. For our logo, simple is okay.

Also, this logo may struggle if I removed the "Caring Cans". The logo should be strong enough to be without the Caring Cans. Could you provide some samples of the logo with and without the text?

I like this one much more than your first. Could you include a small recycling symbol in there somewhere?

 

Looks great! I especially like how easily it converts to black and white! Could you try getting a heart in there somehow? I am not sure if it would ruin the design, but if you could it would be great! Also, maybe a few more colors?

Overall I like the logo, maybe just provide a few variations of the same thing?

I definitely like the original one best. The simplicity of it is great because it would allow us to stamp the brand anywhere (website, shirt, letterhead, etc...) and it would work. I also think the original colors best fit when compared to the alternatives you posted.

 

I like the design as a picture. However, I have a hard time seeing it as a logo. The image seems to complex to be able to stamp on our recycling bins or embroider on a shirt. Try simplifying the effects a little bit. Thanks for the entry!
