Ok, let's try this again. I tried to sell this a couple weeks ago when the site was brand new and didn't have much serious interest because there wasn't much way to predict how the traffic/revenue would continue.

The site is docx-converter.com (also included is docxconvert.com which redirects to docx-converter.com). It has been up since December 6th.

What it is: the only way to convert the new Word 2007 file to a readable format (with formatting) on Mac or Linux. Also included is an OS X Dashboard widget that has over 2000 installs (1400+ from my site, 600+ from MacUpdate.com, ??? from Apple's Website, ??? from other sites). All files converted by the widget will contain Adsense code (it uses the site to convert them, so changing the publisher code in a file on the server changes the ads in converted files).

Even in the interim where the social networking traffic died down the revenue was still there (including a $40 day!)

I looked into Extreme Tracker and I'm not going to install it; hopefully Awstats will suffice.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. The auction ends Friday. The domain names don't expire until December 2007.

I feel I must inform you guys that I got an email from some clown claiming that he has trademarked docxconverter last night.. I call bull****, and I did a little bit of research; it seems to me (and my lawyer) that this term is not trademarkable because it is of the descriptive nature. From the Harvard Law School website the name falls under either the "descriptive" or "generic" category and would not hold up. Especially because he does not have an established product behind it. Also, the trademark he claims to hold does not exist.

Anyway, I am talking with this guy now and I'll keep you updated.
