Information about the site

I created this site almost a year ago, using an auto-blogging tool. It includes 482 posts (441 already published, 41 scheduled). I had like 20 of them re-written so they are unique, but most of the content was picked by the autoblogging plugin from article directories, Q&A and Video Sites.

The site is http://angularcheilitisfree.com, obviously related to Angular Cheilitis, a condition which is not medically severe, but it affects the self image and self-steem severely, so buyers are quite desperate to solve it, especially if it is persistent.

Earnings and Traffic

In the last 10 months, it received more than 15.000 visits. If you check the numbers above, you may see that I only claim 1000 visits a month, so where's the difference? Well, I'm not playing with numbers, I'll just be completely honest: some of the links to the site were devalued during the recent Google algo changes, and thus it lost some of the rankings and some of the traffic. It's now steadied between 30-40 uniques a day, though growing slightly again.

Just to be clear, some of the links pointing to it were devalued, but the site is still indexed and ranking for many long-term keywords. I can't provide Google Analytics as I refuse to use it but here are some screenshots from my Clicky analytics dashboard, where you can see that most of the traffic is coming from searches, and from the US:



I am monetizing the site with clickbank and with Infolinks (an in-text ads platform, similar to Kontera etc). Here are the screenshots detailing my sales:



Why am I selling it?

Simply because I am flipping most of my niche sites, that take too much "mental bandwidth" from me, in order to focus on two specific markets, and angular cheilitis is not one of them.

In fact, if I hadn't been distracted by so many projects, I think I could have made much more money out of this site in this time, had I worked on it more thoroughly; so I just decided to flip it, give someone who is able to work on it the chance to start from an already established site, and give me the chance to focus on my main businesses.

How can this site be monetized?

You can directly include links to Clickbank Products as I did, either using in-text links, or banners (I can point you to several plugins that do it automatically for you if you want to), and as I was doing you can also keep in-text ads, or add bannes from different advertising platforms.

And there is really a comercial intent in those visitors: these are just four of the many Clickbank products available in the bacterial vaginosis niche, as you see they have high gravities, meaning other affiliates are making sales consistently:



What would I do if I was to hold on to this site?

The site is already indexed and has some rankings, so I'd focus on three things:

- Improving some of the automatically generated articles that are already getting traffic to increase their conversions.
- With a little backlinking, the site can b brought back to previous ranking and traffic levels. Promoting the site using social media, web 2.0 properties, article and video marketing, etc. I didn't do enough of this, I mostly outsourced some article and forum profile campaigns some months ago, which didn't have enough power to give the site the authority it deserves.
- Do some more tests with different products and banners, to see which convert the best, which is something I should have done a long time ago
