15,000 uniques/month $0 from affiliate programs IS IT RIGHT?

Hi, I had different affiliates on my site soccerfriend.com, I have about 14,000 uniques visits per months and in 2 months I have not made even one lead or sale according to the reports of my affiliates ( commission junction is one of them ) ... so frustrating..

I was advertising gaming sites targeting my primary audiance, do you have suggestions of products that would be doing well amonth teenagers and men 20-35 years old??

Try to put adsense or similar contextual ads.

Also 14k uniques was on your site or on CJ site reported?

Maybe your linking codes are wrong?

15k visits / month Isnt that much. Get more visitors like 1500 daily and you may be redy for the affiliates :)

I have 1,500 daily and likewise, I've not made a single penny with affiliates.

If your traffic is not looking to buy then you will never have much success with affiliate sales.

I think it will depend on what kind of affiliate programs you are using and the kind of traffic. I would switch to a CPC program.

It really depends on the 'type' of traffic/visitors you're getting. My site deals with models(ethnic), politics and activism. I receive over 1K unique visits each day and after a year of being on Amazons affiliate program...not 1 sale!!!!! I now have a new e-commerce site pushing some of the Amazon merchandise, so I'll see how that goes.

Yeah, it really depends on the type of visitors you have.
I recently created a new health site, and in some of my articles I put a short blurb advertising an affiliate product. Even though I manage just 30 visitors per day, I managed to have 3 sales so far, with a total of $50 commission. My products are extremely targeted - I only market just 1-3 products, but focus on just 1. I also keep it subtle so that I dun sound like a salesperson.

Make sure the affiliate product really targets your visitors. Don't just sell any product that you think will appeal to the 20-35 group. That's too general. Make sure the product is targeted.

It all depends on how targeted your traffic is. If it is not targeted then you could have millions of traffic and not get a sale. If it is targeted then you are more likely to get a sale.

They're mostly repeat visitors. I'm taking on board what you guys are saying. I have basically been aiming at the 20-35 age range. It's a 'soccer' blog so today I'm planning to revamp things and see how many 'soccer' affiliates I can find.

do you have relevant traffic? having uniques is not all you need. You need quality relevant traffic.

That is a good idea. Give the people what they want, it usually works. a.k.a. relevance.

I'd say that 85% of my traffic comes from my news being syndicated elsewhere so I know that they're after what I'm providing.

But it is just news... unless it is news about electronics or gadgets or something people are looking to buy, they are just there to read the news you provide. Those are browsers and not buyers.

Use Adsense/YPN on a soccer news site; start a different site aimed towards buyers if you want to convert affiliate sales.
