Don't be sad, try to increase your traffic. It all depends on your niche, low paying keywords + low traffic = low earnings.

Nope, I'm from Poland, i have some polish websites, horrible eCPM, 157 clicks and 2$ or even less, I also have some english websites, less traffic but much more. All this websites together make preety well money so i'm not saying any bad words abut it :)

I mean, competition isnt going to matter if you own a forum, you can get members without ranking anywehre in a search engine. The trick is building your community on a subject which is continuous. Dont make a site whch is about everything, and has all teh answers, because there will be no need for anyone to click your ads.

I understand what you mean, but what you must realise is that the keyword you are targeting might not rtesult in a click from your audience, so competition isnt going to matter. You can have all the people in the world visit you in the day, if your keyword isnt one that needs to be clicked, it wont be.

You need to find the highest paying keyword, but it must be the highest searched keyword in a specific engine and that niche must be a niche that peopel have to find more info about in otehr areas of the internet, and not just at your site. It wont matter how much com or how high the keyword pays if its not a niche that needs more info or research on your niche subject.

    Weigh it up:

If you look for a keyword with the least competition, or low competition, the keyword might be not be worth anything per click

If you can find one which doesnt have much competition, but yet, pays at least 0.50 cents per click, you are heading in the right direction.

If you can find a keyword that is high paying, hgh searched for, and frequently discussed on a daily basis, that is the best thing you'll ever do with adsense.

    Why?

    1. You get a lot for a click.
    2. You get a lot of viewers.
    3. You get constant viewing and rapid comments or posts started with fresh ad sense showing for each thread that old and new members, and guests, still havent seen yet. Which enables them to click nearly everyday. Knocking out any need for a high rank in google and a high impression ratio, which in turn means it doesnt matter how much competition each word has.

The Key though is finding a keyword in which can be discussed without answering the guests or viewers fully. Only show them half of the subject, and let the google ads show them the rest.

Low paying constantly clicked ads far outweigh high paying ones tha tget clicked once in a while.

High paying keywords arent always the answer, the ones that get clicked most and pay at least 0.50c are.

And only this program can show you this. scamwatch.only-the-truth.com, click on the top banner (two banners in rotation, not the Agloco one.) Just wait 10 seconds if you see Agloco, if you dont see it, thats the banner you want to click on and read how to do this easily. :)

dont worry, if you are getting more than 0.05$ per click it's still normal. if you got like 0.5$ per click you are doing good. if you got like 1$+ per click. you did a decent job. and lastly if you got like 0.01$ per click or less, i would say change your niche.

8 cents per click is far above average for a site in that category.

That's the thing with Adsense, nobody has a bloody clue what REALLY goes on, so practically everything you read (especially on this forum) is mostly speculation, apart from the very obvious conclusions such as niche etc.

    wrong.

google specifically states that your highest epc might be on pages with low ctr, and i have found that to be true for some channels.

what nobody has mentioned here is that the epc you get is supposedly dependant on how well your site converts for the advertiser... so i will repeat for the umteenth time, google calls that "smart pricing".
