14 Sites De-Indexed Today

Discussion in 'Google' started by Keiser, Apr 13, 2011.

Last week, I installed a plugin for SEO search terms. This plugin put the top 10 incoming search terms at the bottom of each post on my wordpress blog. I also added a sidebar widget that showed the most recent search terms coming into my sites.

This morning I woke up to see my adsense account very low for the day, much below normal and then I checked rank checker and 14 of my sites are no longer indexed in google. One of them was sitting at #2 for my key phrase and now it is not even in google anymore.

you are "BANNED" from google search.
When will people learn that you cannot cheat the system with getting a site traffic and popularity. If you hear about a top secret "tricky" then its unsafe.

Either that or google is just re-ranking your sites....but that's not going to be it considering ALL 12 of them were de-indexed.

Lacy, I have 62 sites total. 14 of them were deindexed. All have quality content and actually they have less than 10 backlinks each. I haven't done anything to trick the system. Hopefully they are just re-ranking my sites because I haven't had any notices in my webmaster tools account.

Yes, it was search terms tagging 2. I don't know if this was the direct cause, but it was a coincidence. Also google released a PANDA update so I just don't know what could have done it.

Hmmmm, I too used this plug in, until I realized it was posting the search terms all over my homepage - I have deleted it.

From what I know, the primary function of this plugin is to strengthen your site's SEO by adding new internal links using the most popular keywords. It is possible that there could have been a sudden increase of "activity" in your site that made Google noticed it.

How do you know that it is Search Terms Tagging 2 caused you troubles? Only if you set it wrong - like link to search, you should not do that.
