Toot toot – there goes my horn! I specialize in health and Internet Marketing and having been in the health field for ten years, I have a ton of ideas. For those with experience or knowledge in something, a short ebook can be written in a week even if they only spend a couple of hours a day. For those that haven't written an ebook before, the first time is always a challenge. Developing a topic for the market, based on research may take time but it can certainly be done in 14 days. Many people just slap some material together, get a fancy cover done, and call it an ebook. Just make sure it is a good product and provides something valuable to the reader, especially so if the ebook is going to be up for sale. Good luck!
Since people asked me to remind them here... The 14 Day E-book Writing Challenge officially launches tomorrow at All Freelance Writing. Remember, this isn't a "competition" per se, but rather a chance to push yourselves into finishing an e-book (whether your first or not) with the support of others challenging themselves alongside you. At the end, I'll be featuring links to the sales pages of all e-books successfully created during the challenge (if the authors want to be included). I'll also be compiling the pre-challenge posts and 14-day process into a short report that I'll be giving away for free, so you can challenge yourself later on if this two-week stretch doesn't work for you. You can post a comment to the official challenge thread if you'd like to be involved (to introduce yourself), and find 15 posts done this month as pre-challenge reading on e-book publishing if you want to learn more. EDIT: Oh, and by the way.... This challenge isn't just about writing your e-book in 14 days. We'll be covering more than that. You'll be able to write and publish the e-book, have it ready for distribution (sales letter written, payment models set up, marketing plan in place, etc.), and be ready to really sell, sell, sell after your two weeks are up. Join in! If nothing else, it gives you a chance to build some pre-launch buzz about your e-book among your fellow writers. Jenn
