14 clicks = $0.53???

Hi, I've been using adsense on my forums for about 2 weeks now. And I was reading people here are getting 20+cents per click. However, I'm getting a lot lower than that.

    Yesterday stats:
    impression: 1,440
    clicks: 14
    earnings: $0.53

I had 14 clicks yesterday, but the total earning was only $0.53? My daily avg earning so far is about $1 per day, which I think really not much at all.

Can any adsense experts advise me what can I do to improve earnings? Thanks in advance!

My forums is about 1 month old, so it's considered new

    Are you using filters?

Should be higher than that, especially if they are technology related.

If you don't know, then that means you're not using ad filters.

Read up on it and get rid of the low paying ads. I did that, and it doubled my pay per click.

    Noob question.
How do I know which ads are the lowest-paid?
    Thanks.

I took an educated guess by looking at the pages that the ads lead to. Make sure you use a preview tool to look at the pages.

If it looks like a page that was created solely for the purpose of advertising, then I'll block them.

Not sure if that works for everyone, but it worked for me. It doubled my pay per click.

There are also blacklist sites out there that give examples of which sites you should block.

I Have also the same problem since last week. The click is only about: 0.01, since I updated my blog. I could at least $0.5 / clik before. Why suddenly dropped ?
