13yr Old Tech/Software Website - Value?

    Hey everyone,

I own a 13yr old tech/software domain and site, the domain has never been dropped or deleted and has a number of .edu and .gov links including NASA and others.

The site is currently a pr4 and I have done very little promotion/seo on the website, which is the reasoning behind the low pr. Currently, the site makes around $30 per month with adsense just on the "residual" traffic that it receives.

All content is unique and targeted towards very high click prices. The highest earning click on this site so far was around $15 but it averages at around $1 to $3 depending on the page.

I am not sure if I want to sell this site or hang on to it, but I am curious to hear what some experienced site sellers would value it at. What do you think I could get for this site at auction either here or other site for sale forums?

    Thanks for the help.

    Depends on the name.

But from what you said above I would say over $300 easy.

If the name of it is great then it can be a ton more.

Interesting, I would have expected the numbers to be higher, if for little more than the age of the domain alone. I think 13 year old domains are few and far between?

Thanks for the input, Aaron. I will certainly have to think about what I want to do with this. Maybe I will just put in the time to get the earning higher.

Like I said it depends on the name. A good solid name will bring a ton more.

The domain is http://comsoft.org, not sure if that is a good one or not?

Definitely much over $300. I would promoting more before considering selling the site though.

If it is so old, it deserves a lot more. A PR4 automatically asks for more than $500. Nothing less. Maybe much more. Also, can you please tell the exact number of pages on your website and the links? This would help better appraise your site.
