Updated layout design with less images in HTML & CSS structure, only relevant database image. The design shows how it will appear for a logged in user, and what menu item will appear for the user. Here's how the website's header will display when no user is logged in, with minimal menu item visible.
@thepinkflame, your designs is quite stunning. on your most updated design, i cant see the "search" area which is essential to an ecommerce design. @brotherVirtu, you're still using a lot of spaces. pls improve your design. 1. avoid spaces 2. banner should use the entire banner area. 3. the featured and new products should use the entire area 4. above the categories, popular, and the search box is quite a large empty space. bottomline, please improved your design and utilize all the spaces. @thepinkflame, can you complete the grey version above for me to have a clear picture of it. thanks
@mrphp, which grey version? I don't quite understand your request. However, here's the update for you. I have designed the layout with code optimization in mind, with some minor Javascript Frameworks included. And here is how the search will be implemented. Hopefully your coder has some knowledge in AJAX search. If he doesn't, I can provide you the code for this whole website for a quote in PM.
@brotherVirtu, you're still using a large emtpy space. the banner area, the featured and new products are still using quite an empty space. @thepinkflame, you forgot to include the categories area? also the searchbox, can you make it more appealing/attractive? @Xdexter, you're using too much empty space. pls utilize all the empty spaces. @duckland, pls improve your design. pls dont contact me privately as your messages will be ignored. I cant reply / give feedback right away as i also have other jobs but keep in mind that i will give feedbacks at the end of the day or the day after. thank you for your understanding.
No I don't. In my opinion of the UX design, the homepage is your storefront, which I display products that I assume requires higher focus from customers. Categories should appear inside 'Browse' section (or whichever term we can name it to be more appealing). This practice can be seen in successful online stores, like the Play Store & App Store. Even though we are in a different industry, user behaviour when browsing online remains the same. However, we can still put everything on the front page, if you want to. I'll find out the best way to design your request, but it will not come in this next update. I will update the search box as you requested, coming up in a while. Cheers Albert.
@brotherVirtu, almost but still you're using a lot of empty spaces on footer, banner and some on the products. however the overall design looks pretty much plain to me. please improve your design. the banner and footer looks so boring to me. just my opinion. so there's really a big room for improvement. no insult intended, just want you to improve your design.
@pinkflame, i was wondering why there's 2 searchbox? And also, can you fillup that emtpy space for "Promotions/Ad" Space. I would appreciate if you could put a great idea on that. You also forgot the pages "Home, Affiliates, Shipping & Returns, Terms and Conditions, Contact Us". @decadance, can you improve your design on the header section where it has an empty spaces? Also, you forgot about the pages "Home, Affiliates, Shipping & Returns, Terms and Conditions, Contact Us" @brotherVirtu, your design looks so plain. Please improve. We want stunning professional design.
