Thanks for the entry.
Here is the clients feedback for you.
The homepage does have something about it, however it lacks the professional touch.
The background colours are amatuer and the choice of text is not right perhaps. Majority of the text used on the page is in bold. The style of the signup button looks very web 2.0 But then you have gone and used a totally different style for the learn more button. Which does not keep it consistent.
Please do not work on logo we can think about it later.
The blue in the menu does not look nice.
When I look at the design , I get mixed feelings. It feels like your design has some good web 2.0 but there is too much going on. A good design for me is something which is nice and clear and has all the elements well spaced out. Homeblogger's design was like that the only issue with it was it needed a little spicing up to do.

Sorry I do not mean to be riude but the client felt the design looked more like a leaflet design. I am sure your next entry can be improved.

The client liked what you did here is your feedback.
The design looks good but needs a it of work.
The tp brown bad does not have any effect, it looks too dull and the text is not right, its bold and its not fitting in properly.
The search bar: Please avoud oval shapes they dont fit in sharp corners are in, same applied to the button.
The menu items are way too big in size. Brown colour is not the right shade.
The background image should fade out but it gets darker instead from top to bottom.
The menu title is way too dark and the text is bold for all menu items. Needs refining.
The footer text is all too bold has well.

I am sure your entry needs more tweaking otherwise you are on the right track.

I am actually not taking part in this, I am involved in a personal project that eats up all my time. And that design doesn't belong to me, I just posted it here as to inspire the contest participants as I am searching for inspiration myself. Hopefully they will come up with something to your liking. The client has been very hard to get in touch with. I have now emailed him and told him if I do not get a response by Friday. I will carry forward this design as per my own taste.
