I have a client that is looking for the design of a media kit for their local geo website. A media kit is typically done in PDF format. It is usually a text document with some graphics explaining the benefits and costs of advertising on the website. I posted a request in the services section of this forum but have decided that it would best be held with a higher prize as a contest. The website that you will be designing a media kit for is P-H-O-E-N-I-X-.-O-R-G, (remove all the dashes) the client has requested that you do not use the full domain on this thread. You are allowed to use the full logo and domain on the created media kit however. You can take the logo from the website. My client is expecting top notch work on this and I can't guarantee that a winning design will be chosen. My client wants a flowchart on the media kit describing the benefits of advertising with the company. The flowchart will have in the middle a graphic that represents the website of the advertising company. Around this website graphic will be six other graphics representing each of the following services that my clients company provides: 1. Featured Yellowpage Listing 2. Home Page Banner 3. Custom Business Profile Page 4. Coupons 5. Featured Article 6. Gift Certificates Each of these 6 graphics needs to point at the graphic representing the advertisers website, symbolically showing that traffic will flow to the website from each of these 6 services. It is crucial that the design be of the highest quality. It will be used in the online PDF media kit as well as a professionally printed media kit that will be provided to the sales force for the website to use in presentations to local businesses. I have very little direction to give because my client does not yet know just what they are looking for. They want the winning flowchart to fit in well with the overall design of the website, similar colors and use the website logo somewhere on the flowchart. You can use any graphics or arrows that you choose, whatever the creative voice inside your head tells you. I am sorry that I do not have more direction on the flowchart, my client will be providing comments on the thread so as we get designs perhaps more direction will present itself. The winner of the flowchart will get the job of creating the rest of the media kit as well. I will provide the text for the media kit and it will be the responsibility of the winner of this contest to incorporate it into a professional PDF format, using the text that I provide and the winning flow chart that they created. Other graphics will be expected but nothing complicated, perhaps some clip art or reusing the graphics that you create on the flowchart. This contest will remain open until I close it. My client is willing to wait 3-4 days with the hope of finding a design that they approve of. I suggest that a good place to start is to look at other similar flowcharts online that are of high quality. Your creation will be in the hands of numerous salesmen so make it the best that you can. Payment is $130 for the complete design of the Media Kit (including the flowchart). The winning designer will be chosen as the designer that is deemed to have created the most attractive flowchart, therefor, this contest is for a flowchart only so only submit flowcharts, not entire media kits. The winner of the flowchart contest will then be provided the text to the media kit and design the entire kit. A paypal payment of $130 will be paid upon reception of the completed file, flowchart and media kit. If I really like your designs I will possibly request business card creation and letterhead creation for additional payments. Thanks. If you have any questions please let me know.
For those of you who contacted me, yes, this contest is still open. For a clarification, the media kit itself will be be too complicated. I imagine that you could simply use the graphics that you created on the flow chart for additional graphics on the media kit. PM me with any questions.
I have posted a job request at Elance for this particular service. I will still accept submissions from this forum if you have already started working on it but if you have not already began working on it then please do not start. Troy
