13 year old ranked #1 for keyword

It doens't make any difference what age you are to do the the work. I think he is to be admired for this at his age. What were you doing at that age? I know I wasn't focused and was out playing and being a kid. It takes hard work to get there and yes his dad may have shown him the ropes but it still takes time and hardwork to get it done.

I have a son who was motivated like him and achieved alot at a young age. He had an amazing porfolio at age 17. I can remember him telling me in first grade he was going to do animation and build games and work with computers. He self taught himself everything he sit there with 1000 paged manuals like they were comic books. When he went to college he dropped his bags in the room and went off to the IT department to complain about ban width and what he needed to do his sites. The school hired him to do there IT work and he got $4.00 more an hour then what they had every offered anybody. The professors all hired him to do websites for them. He is a partner in several companies now and building his custom home 5 bed 3 bath and he's 26 now. Sorry to go on and on proud parent!

I think getting an early start like that show the entrepaneur spirit. Thats what makes him special !

He got lot of resources and guidance to start from, unlike others who had to grab info by searching the web, from each n every page they surfed . Also there is no guarantee on web about whose on the other side whos claiming to be 13yr old.

I think I'm going to let my 1 year old smash on the keyboard for a few minutes, call it a post, and tell everyone that a 1yo is making a ton of money. I'm sure I can get some nice backlinks for that.

I am 24 now, and I really think that age has nothing to do with success with internet. Creativity always rocks, so in this case it was this kid marketing his age.

Yes he should be admired is he has done it on his own, but if hes just fooling around its of no use to him.

 

I am 13 too so what? He only ranked #1 (and btw dropped he's position) and isn't even 13 anymore - he's 14! sense a long time ago. He's just using that to get some stupid advertisers. He could do some other job like affiliate marketing, designing and not selling he's "13-year old age". I am 13 and have seen many other kids making more money than him but not selling the age for some dummy adverts that btw won't make him more than 1k.

Wake up it's the best link bait in the world and everyone is taking it hook line and sinker. Run a back link check and look at the sites that are picking him up...albeit there are a lot of spammy sites but still he has over 30,000 back links to his homepage...mostly all with 'make money online' as the anchor text. That is 30,000 plus sites telling the might G that his site is an authority on 'make money online.'

 

He's made more than 8k.
Like I said before... The only way he is getting number one on google.. or at least was, is because he writes articles for other people. When you write an article for someone else you not only gain traffic to your site but you also give traffic to the person who you write the article for. And you also gain a friend.

Yes, he is 14 but apparently he says that the fact that he is 13 just catched on... which I find weird as if people didn't believe that kids get older. Yes he could do some other jobs, but why would he do them when he is making WAY more money than kids our age are making... he is even making more money than some part time job college students.

If you want to be like Carl then start writing... A LOT 2 posts a day is not gonna cut it. And writing for your own blog/site doesn't count... you will have to write more than a daily article for someone else and use Make Money Online as an anchor link in order to get to where he is. You'll also need to write daily articles for your blog... try something new and creative that drives attention or choose a highly disputed topic to get your readers more interested in your writing.

Now this may sound as hating, but his dad is the one who started him on the blogging industry... and seeing that his dad is a blogger, he might have given him a few of his tricks to get into a high ranking search result. His dad could have told him what to install and what to do and all carl had to do was write articles, nothing else... but of course this has not been proven, so it's silly of me to say it.

If you read my posts, you will see all the exact links of the places that have a linkback for carlocab.com and as you can see some of them are comments that Carl made himself, and some are articles that he has written for other sites.

He basically gets traffic by being mentioned by his dad in his blog. And he gets more traffic now that he is number one for make money online... so once you are on top it's hard to go down... unless someone like me comes along and makes a better site than him... No I'm kidding Carl is the man, I admire him for being number one in Google, and I admit I'm a lil jealous of him but who isn't!? And he deserves being number one, after all the hours he must have spent writing comments and articles.

The only thing that I rant about his blog is that he hasn't made too many posts this week... or even this month. Most of the posts were made by guest writers and most of those posts are reviews of websites... etc. I wish Carl were the one writing them, not some guest blogger trying to get traffic.

 

Car's work is a simple work & time formula and the 13-year old age. Good for him that made 8k in he's blogging career but I honestly think that he can do other jobs and make more than 8k in 1 year...

That is just the trend and it won't stop happening. Age has nothing to do with determining how much success you can get.
