13-07-2006 PR update

my web site is 4 years old. Pr dropped from 6 to 4. Backlinks increased, so did the rankings. I have a few pernament pr7s and pr6s but in my opinion its all BS now.

I am with George on this

 

do blogs get more love (blogger) ?

I have a new site, and a new blogger account to go with it. the regular site has superior content, 3x the number of backlinks, gets updated more, and vblah blah...but

blogger account went from PR0 > PR4
...regular site went from PR0 > PR3

...my 2 year old site numbers remained identical.

 

YAY..I think it is official now that Google is updating...
Based on what I heard from some webmasters.
I'm really excited about this update.
Hopefully it will bring good updates to all of my sites.

 

Everyone is with George man or the other $#%$#@ members that say this each day in DP .. Nobody of the older memebers here said PR will get you ranking. On the contrary.

Anyway that fall from 6 to 4 makes no difference if you are only interested in ranking. If your website still ranks the same, then you are happy

Exactly - who freakin cares - if your rankings in the serps got better then you are darn well sittin pretty. that REALLY all that matters in this game.

 

That's my point. It's the rankings that matter and this very nigth (or day depending on where you are) this PR update is not affecting your rankings. If it were going to it would have already.

 

Yerp - I have seen PR toolbar update changes across the board on my sites - doesnt actually effect actual PR which changes all the time. Just display for people that want to sell links i guess. Good luck everyone - hope your marketing efforts are paying off

I stand corrected, you can make money with PR in other ways as well.

Just watch all the new sites for sale in the B/S/T section with the words PR, or PageRank in them that just sprung up in the last hour.

 

all my directories received a pr 4 rank this week. I also went from making $4-$10 daily with adsense to $25-$40 daily for the past 3 days

Yes I do. Not a bad tool, pretty quick too.

 

So its really official now that PR update is now starting.

I only noticed changes in my indexed page and a major increase in SERP.
It's a sigh of relief for me when my site started to climb on SERP because it stays at 40+-50 in the last 2 months. I hope in the next month or next week more good changes in SERP will happen to the keywords I'm targetting.
