how hard is it to top a keyword that averages 12k+/day searches? The keyword is very competitive. thanks.
awts. since it's a very difficult keyword, is it still worth choosing? it's what the site is about btw.
there's a tool from digitalpoint that shows searches/day instead of /month(which you can divide by the number of days to know the/day) like most other tools.
it uses wordtracker and overture. I have no idea how accurate it is. what tool do you use? keywords like soccer.
I would suggest keep the keyword same but get more precise, because soccer is general term and usually if you think of searching, you look for something specific related to soccer not just soccer.. So do better keyword search, don't just target soccer. Otherwise you will have hard time with SEO and Sandbox stuff...
I use it also, but only for checking keyword variations. Overture does not give accurate numbers because they do not distinguish plural and singular. But those numbers can be good for overview.
it's very hard to stay in top 10 for competitive keywords . you have strong backlinks and good optimized web site to have chance
instead of aiming for the general keyword I would go for a more specific search. It brings in a more targeted customer which should convert more
I think it's more than PR, you have to look at the age of the domain, # of backlinks, etc. Honestly, it would take years to get in the top 10 of a search like that. So, do with that as you will. M
12k+/day is a Mid-Level keyword. If you have a dedicated SEO Expert doing link Building and promotions you can get in Top 10 in google for about 3-4 months. But be reminded that "searches" is different from "clicks". 12k+/day of searches doesn't necessarily mean that you'll get 12k+/day for that keyword when you get to Top 1. Although I do agree with the opinion of most of the people here. Rather than targeting Mid-Level (10k - 50k searches per day) and High-Level (100k up searches per day), you should concentrate on finding and promoting on a targeted low-level keyword. This will give you higher conversion ratio and faster ROI. Cheers!
Well searched keywords are generally comeptitive, but sometimes you can find the competition is not so bad. You should always check how other webmasters are promoting with those keywords. If they are not doing much, depending on how you SEO, you have a chance to steal high position in SERPs. Just because many people search it doesn't mean those keywords are well SEOed already. Well searched yet not promoted with ones are the better keywords.
I have such a competitive keyword before and what i could say that it is worth pursueing. Right now I got more than 3k unique daily from it. Well, i must said: "I have spend in the mid x,xxx$) for it though
