Domain allready exists problem

Discussion in 'Co-op Advertising Network' started by mkeen, Apr 5, 2005.

Ive just purchased a forum and the person who I bought it from is running co-op ads allready, Ive emailed the user asking them to remove the domain from there co-op login but I havent got a reply, is there anything I can do to get this removed? The domain is www.rylforum.com

You can see I am the owner of this domain by doing a whois on it.

    Thanks
    Matthew

Well, the easiest thing to do would be to have the system email you your login and password. Since you own the domain, you should be able to get the email (it's that is the account holder's email).

    Shawn

I am unable to setup an email account for this domain name, is there any chance of you just removing the account? Ive managed to get in contact with the guy who used to own the site but he forgot his username and password.

    Thanks
    Matthew

Could you possibly delete the account Shawn? I purchased the site for the co-op weight and the guy I bought it from cant delete the domain from his account.

    Thanks

Matt, why don't you just log into the cpanel, use the webmail section and log into your admin account so you can read the username and password??

Thats assuming I have cpanel which I don't, I have a tech that works for me, he does this stuff but he is off work ill.

This leaves me doing most of the technical server stuff, im ok with apache but I don't know how to setup email accounts on qmail.

You probably will need to wait until your tech gets back and he can setup the email account for you. I don't want to get into the practice of deleting accounts without the original account owner asking for it. Especially when the domain the email address is associated with is controlled by you (and you are able to email yourself the login/password).

Not to mention the apparent "old owner" posted in another thread a few days ago asking why he couldn't log into this same account anymore. ;)

    Hi Shawn or Administrator,

Can you tell me (PM or post here, is fine) the e-mail addy or user name associated with the www.ericfrost.com domain? Apparently I may have started setting this up earlier in the week as I am getting the same error (Domain is already in use by another account.) but I don't remember

    Thanks!
    Eric

    What are you implying?

    Apparent "old owner"?

Maybe you should read the thread before posting about it?

That thread is why I posted...I also just reread that thread and it still seems there are two people asking for the password. I'm not implying anything just pointing out you may want to sort that out unless you are also communityZ.

Thats real funny...Obviously I can read or I wouldn't have posted it in the first place
