$125 Anime Wordpress design contest

I'm looking to re-design my layout on my Anime Wordpress video streaming site.

I want the Google ad links to remain in the same places, While leaving a spot ABOVE each video for a rectangular ad unit. Keep that in mind while designing. The link unit on the right of each video, shouldn't be changed either, unless you find a nice place for it. I Want the site to .... Look Really nice and attractive to anime users. Cluttered isn't bad, as long as its visually appealing. I Prefer sleek Black/Blue color schemes, but anything is good.

Anime theme is key. Having nice pictures in nice places is the idea.

Winner must help me implement the theme If I need help with it. Contest will end within 2 weeks, OR as soon as I see a theme I like. It could be over within a day, if you submit a theme I really like. it has to be coded as well for wordpress, not just psd.

Edit: I Also want to page to be a bit wider.. and centered on the screen. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM the to me.

I really like your header MoonlightTxSonata =). Your work looks very nice. I'm looking forward to see your work. I'm actually very impressed by that blog header.

 

Thanks! I'll be working on your theme soon enough, I just need to gather some quality images.

One question though: The header contains two links - Home and Anime's. Should I include those in the header as well or do I remove them? Unless you would like them above the entries (like my welcome message on my blog) in the form of images? I already have an overall design thought up, I just want to make sure I have it straight before diving in. =P

 

You do not have to include the two buttons on the top [Home and Anime's]. Having a home Button somewhere would be nice though, but if you can't find a spot thats np. Up to your discretion. I love how your header looks and the general colors used, but i'm not a fan of all the clutter.

Also, like I mentioned earlier, I need the actual size of the site, [Width], to be a bit bigger than the one I have right now. So Design it accordingly to that.
Also Add a second sidebar on the right, I Still plan to put a verticle ad banner on the right side, but it can be to the left of the right side bar.

I'm almost done with the theme, I just need to fix up the commenting page and add some more things to it.



I know you said you wanted sleek but I wanted to try a vector feel to it. I think it gives it a more inviting look than having it look like a business site. Of course in the end it's up to you so let me know what you think and if there's anything you'd like (or not like) on it. =)

 

I Like the Header A lot, I like the Text ad layout. And I love the "Anime That" text. I Also approve of the color choices you used. Keep in mind, for my site, I need a section to list all the animes, And I need that to look nice. They seem squished in the "header" area. Maybe add another column to the left side? Or somewhere else?

Also, For the "Comments" Page, Make sure theres a banner spot for 480x68 on there, similar to the text ads place you got going. So far, Overall I Really like your layout. Just curious to see how you're going to develop the area for all the Animes .

I know there's going to be a long list of anime shows so that's why I made that section called "Animes". It's using the category tag so there's only 2 links. It all looked squished in before because it was a smaller preview and I changed the way the links are but now I hope you see that it's as ordered as I could make it.

The footer I designed it specifically for the links above the videos since the content area is smaller than the banner. That way the ads have all the room at the footer and it'll appear cleaner.

All the images used were found at Planet Render and the little arrow icons were made by me. =)

 

I really like your design . I'm going to see if anyone else enters the contest though. Yours is Really nice though. I am a bit impatient, so I may not wait the full 2 weeks, and pick a winner within a few days. I may suggest small adjustments tomorrow.
