So, I ask this simple question. How eco-friendly are you? Do you do something like littering or something like picking up rubbish and putting it into the bin? I, believe that I am as eco-friendly as I could ever be I don't litter, I don't spit, I don't smoke, I walk, cycle, take a bus or a train. I use only CFLs in the house, and turn them off when not in use. I turn off the monitor, when not in use, and put my PC in standby. What about you?
I use all earth-friendly household products, beauty products and choose biodegradable products when possible I buy organic, local grown produce when possible I prefer NOT to buy anything that has preservatives in it, including food. Even my cats eat organic meat Next I'm going to try to buy organic only clothing. Something much more difficult to come by! p.s we already recycle. At work too
Personally you can't blame a consumer for consuming, if you want to tackle a problem my idea would be to use logic and tackle it from it's source. Just my opinion...
A CFL consumes, 20% of the energy a normal bulb consumes. And most of the time, in t eh day time, we don't use the lights. We keep the curtains drawn aside, and the windows open so light can enter. Now, don't ask again, how this helps.
