120x240 performing very well?

Is it just me or do 120x240 ad slots perform exceptionally well? I've been getting maybe $1 to $5 per click as compared to say a 300x250 or 728x90. Also, are people doing away with 468x60 ad sizes because I rarely see them and they perform horribly on my end.

it really depends on the niche too but in this case we can expect high click rate because it might have just displayed one high paying ads

This depends on how many ads you supply per page.

Google in in business to make money. If you use a single ad block you will get the best performing ads for that block. If you display a lot of ads then the lower performing ads appear. Thus your chances of earning more per click are diminished.

It's your job to find the sweet spot.

I've place the max 3 ads per page. I've got a 728x90, 300x250 and 120x140. Check out the car blog link in my sig to see the set up.

120x240 really? I thought 300x250 and 160x600 were good paying ad sizes. I also use leaderboard which works good.

The leaderboards and 300x250 gets me maybe an eCPM about 1.50, while the 120 gets over $5-10 eCPM
