i just found out that keyword density on the pages i promote is on average 12%. is it too high or will do? thanks
I aim for 7-9% I used to do higher but it's too borderline "wrong" as far as some search engines go. I have better success using a single figure density.
I believe, these days, even 5 per cent is on the high side. To calculate word density: keyword(s) divided by word count times 100 expressed as a percentage.
can someone here state the differences they saw between x density and x density? Curious as to what ranks looked like before and after I have some at 2% and some at 13% which sounds too high?
I think , it should be with 5% to 7%. i came across an article, i suppose it would help http://www.adklicks.com/article/right_keyword_density_for_search_engine_optimization-5.html You can also check the same at www.live-keyword-analysis.com
Heres a great tool - goes to 4 word keywords and provides lots of other good stuff. I'm a learner but recently found I drop off the MSN listing at about 6% density. Now keep them below 4% and believe that the anchor text on links has more importance than density. http://www.ranks.nl/tools/spider.html enjoy Brian
i would say too high, i use about 3% for the keyword im targetting and get pretty decent results but it all depends how much competition you have.
Ok, 3%. Things have changed since I last built a content site then All mine are 8% +... I better change them.
now here's the question i have awesome ranking in msn and yahoo with very high keyword density if i reduce this, chances are i'll kill my msn and yahoo ranks, yes?
