12,000 visits a day - how to make money?

hi there, new to this and been reading with interest many posts.
i have 2 music related sites, one averaging around 12,000 visits per day and a top 100,000 alexa ranking. best month produced 2.5 million page views
visist worlwdwide
how is the best way to make money from this - the numbers seem very very high.
the other is a fledgling company picking up rapidly and producing around 2,000 visits and 20,000 page views a month, not wuite on the same scale as the other

is there money to be made ?

 

you could always hop onto the webmaster welfare wagon and join Google's AdSense program

It depends on what sort of site you have and the quality of traffic. What sort of music site is it?

Adsense + affiliates (sell niche related stuff: ebooks, ebay... etc etc). Good luck!

 

You can most def monetize your website with Google Adsense, would def make a nice income with that traffic if you place the ads correctly and make it seem part of the site (blend in somewhat)

Another thing you can try which should work well is Amazons associate program which you can place nice looking boxes selling music as an affiliate OR apples itunes affiliate program.

ALSO, you can try directly going to advertisers to offer your inventory in advertising space and charging monthly fees.

Don't forget about direct sales. It might be hard to find advertisers at first but with those traffic stats if you can prove them then you will definitely get advertisers buying ads at a prices that you set.

 

AdSense is definitely how you should go. It sure does work for me.

 

Yup i agree go with Adsense , or make a deal with some advertiser. So you get higher cash.

 

If you are dumped from adsense, then you can also use popup programs like adversal.

What's the site niche? People are making too many assumptions. This could be a warez site which will greatly decrease revenue. Being it's "music related" and with that heavy traffic I tend to think it is. Also where is traffic from? If most of it is from non-english speaking countries again...lowers your revenue greatly.

A site with that much traffic can make $10 a day or $500 but it really depends.

I think we need more info.

 

sorry man - bit more info. not a warez site, but a major international competition related to the most popular of all musical instruments.
numbers will go up, and i believe all visits will be truly interested, qualified consumers who do not stray on here by mistake, but make a conscious decision to head here on a daily basis once the competition starts again
