11k impressions and clicks only 390 why so bad ?

Hi DP Experts,
My blog has 11k impressions and 390 clicks for last 7 days, i wonder why so low ctr ? What should i do to improve the situation ? I guess for 11k impressions 390 clicks is pretty low.. i need your expert advice on how to improve ? what's needed to be done ? Many thanks for your consideration...

 

As far as I'm concern 390 clicks in 11 k impression is very cool. You should be happy about it.

 

yes it is great because i would have get 390 clicks for 40000 impressions

I got 90 clicks of 20 k impression.I think your CTR is pretty good.

11k impressions means like 4k vizitators .... so what do you expect ...

 

Actually the CTR seems o.k.

If you want a higher CTR, ask yourself "Do the type of ads line up with the content on the page?". If your content is on cars and the ads are about recipes there is a disconnect and people likely won't click. I'm not sure how to get G to display more relevant ads. Maybe someone else could chime in.

390 is fine for that 11K impressions. I am getting only 50 / 60 clicks for the same amount so your doing fine. Just get more traffic now.

 

As others have said, you CTR is very good. However, if you want to improve, you have to experiment.

Use crazyegg (or any heatmap software) to track where the "hot spots" are on your website. Make sure you have to big square ad boxes in that area, one with image ads only, the other text ads only. Keep in mind you will be ruining the user experience (which wasnt part of your question), but you might be able to increase you CTR by a couple %.

no, i can't agree dudes. 11k impression should give at least more than 500 clicks. change your ads position. your color combination is pretty cool. Remember in case of horizontal line ads like your top most ad, not gonna give you any kind of earning if visitors just click them. they have to visit the sites which are come after clicking. so using this ad is simply a waste. try something else your click will be definitely increase.

Damn that's good, I normally get about 30-50 clicks for 11,000 impressions.

Haha, had a look and one of my sites has 8 clicks for 14,000 impressions. And that's the site that gets $2 a click, I can only dream of 300+ clicks a day

 

Your CTR is 3.5% which is good, I would say a bit above the average.

 

11k impression is huge traffic ,try to blend your ads

 

try to play around with your ads placement

 

use heatmaptheme or ctrtheme.com theme .that will increase the clicks...i m planning to use one myself as soon i get time to start another blog xD but still 390 clicks is quite gud
