Forum Using New Server

The backend of the forum and keyword tracker (specifically the databases) were switched to the new servers last week. Now the front-end of the forum (the PHP files and stuff) have also been moved.

The DNS has been changed, but might be awhile for it to trickle down to everyone.

If forums.digitalpoint.com resolves to 216.9.35.57 for you, you are on the old server still, if it resolves as 216.9.35.50, you are on the new server.

Please let me know if anyone notices any problems (even if they are minor).

    Profile updating works here.

Can't see any blog posts either (apart from DP's).

The forum is SO slow this morning that I could not even post a post, whats is up Shawn?

PS: I don't know if it was the DP servers or on my end, but it is fast as hell now.

I did clean my temp. internet files and memory so I don't know if it was my box or DP Servers for sure, anyone else have a slowdown this morning

I don't remember the time, but I also noticed this. Sometimes, pages would be served so slowly that I could see my browser render tables incrementally, row by row, one row a second or so.

I have noticed that the page sometimes gets stuck while requesting the adsense banner. There must be some problem with the connection to google.

Shawn has lots of traffic but I would say that it is not always his fault, could be Akami or some other main line that is clogged up.

I guess we will never know and can only wonder
