Oddly enough I usually notice when the time is 11:11... anyone else? I always thought this was a destiny moment for me - Like I'll die someday on Nov.11 at 11pm... Or When I make my millions I will find out at 11:11... or.. ... like today. ... .. I will post my 1111th post on DP.. ...

Only problem is I have no clue what to commemorate this to. I've spilled some of my best tips, I've created a super aff forum full of more tips/pros, launched a ton of money makers for you guys and myself... Hmmm perhaps I'll touch base on a compliment I received in another thread about marketing for the future while standing still.

You guys that are launching new products, it's great to see you taking your first crack at a product and publisher attempt - however 9/10 times I'm seeing it done all wrong and thus you get little if any results. The best tip I can give you is to think 11 steps ahead not just 2. Think about your launch date as your make it or break it date.

Never just show up on the forum with 'taddaaa here is my new product' - this will rarely if ever yield results. Plan ahead, get your resources ready, test your offer on your own, start recruiting like a month or two in advance, think of sub-products, think of competitors and how to manipulate your game at launch time, and most importantly - think of your customer and ensure you are filling their satisfaction or solving their problem/desire as deep as possible.

Affiliates: You should also do your best to market for the future not just for today. Project, predict, anticipate, tweak, and always keep your ear to the wire about new products/movements in marketing. If you can think "ok so next month I'm going to have x more campaigns, focused on the y niche, and execute it through z" - you'll be farther along your monetization path, even if it's just duplicating an existing campaign.

Always take advantage of the seasons, holidays, times of year that are obviously going to work in your favor. It's no surprise that I'm launching a weight loss product right now in time for the holidays and new years fat rush. It's no surprise that the best things to sell around christmas time are NOT digital products (with the exception of a few niches) but rather tangible ones like TV's, xbox/ps/consoles/games, gadgets, ebay/CJ is perfect for this (christmas presents).

Always do research on demographics i.e. women account for a much larger spend online - perhaps gear a targeted campaign at women/products aimed at women...

Whatever you're promoting right now, think of how it might be affected in the upcoming month(s), and what moves you can make to maximize profits and minimize risk due to the season/niche/etc...

I guess at the end of the day (perhaps even at 11:11), always think as far ahead as possible, set your goals accordingly, and move along the chess board we call AM'ing swiftly while anticipating the markets moves.

    Cheers,
    1111

    Great advice as always,
I've got my first product 95% ready .. It's my first shot at publishing, and I'm really excited to have my own product. Don't expect to earn much from it, I just see it as a learning experience for the future.. so I could learn the publisher trade, so that I can release more serious products later on. My Product is gonna be released in about 10 days. I will definitely try to implement some of the tips you listed.

I also have that addiction of looking at "special" numbers, lol :D

    1337, 0000, 1111 and others.

Nice advice here on product launches :)

    P.S. Niche Choppers FTW!

Norb, you are freaking me out... that 11:11 thing - happens to me too all the time, for past 6-7 years...

Anyways, a few years ago (... actually 4 years ago) I was at some local fair with my girlfriend and she kept begging me to go see the fortune teller. I kept on laughing at her but then gave in... so this old gypsy-looking lady tells us all these stuff about the future, then all of the sudden she tells me: "Does 11:11 mean anything to you? You have to remember that number... it is very important. Something good is going to happen to you which is related to 11-11... date or time or some other 11 11... "

That scared me a little, since I never told her about noticing "11:11" how the heck did she know.

    True story...

Sorry, Norb, for hijacking the thread... it's just that 11:11 gets to me every time.

    Alex
