Contest $110 Wordpress Design Contest (uncoded/74hours)

IMPORTANT: This contest will be run by myself (joshuar) and my co-worker justin (justin hinton)

My client (Herbaldoc.com) is looking to redesign their website. This contest is only for the homepage (uncoded PSD), but the winner will also be required to design a sub-page.

The contest is for 74 hours or until a clear winner is decided on. Please let me know in the thread if you have any questions.

NOTE: Please do not PM me during the contest; all entries/questions must be posted in this thread.

Here is our PSD Logo

- Above is the logo. Our client wants the website color scheme to match the logo

- Our client wants the website to be really simple and easy to use because the target audience is people that are older

- We want the social media icons to be easily found

- Make the website simple and pleasing to the eye

- Below is a wireframe of what the homepage could look like. However, we are very open to other designs or layouts.

- Website needs to be in psd (photoshop) format.

- any fonts used need to be included in the source files

A question has been raised by one of the designers:

Yes, this site will be used for shopping. Other purposes of this site are to provide information about herbal remedies and our client. So the ultimate goal of the site is to help our clients' customers find and make purchases easily. We also want to have space to provide information to the client about what the products are, how to use them, and how they have affected other people.

The client liked the phone and number that you put in, but thinks he will prefer it in black or another conservative color.

GENERAL FEEDBACK from client:

Again, thank you for your submissions, here are some thoughts from the client.

There needs to be some changes to the banner: with the banner image a square and everything else a square there is not much difference. Suggestion: bow the ends of the banner image.

Again, there is something not right with the banner image, it is too plain. He asked for simple and plain, but there can be more added: Suggestion: add a caption or text overlay to the banner image.

When the customer first opens the page, all they will see is the banner image. Suggestion: make the banner image shorter.

The menu bar being green and blue, I know that that is what he asked for, is too much. Suggestion: change the menu bar to black or another conservative color.

Final comment: he likes a little shading. Everything doesn't have to be completely white with nothing but lines separating them. Shading / dimension to boxes or areas is a plus in his mind.
