After the 11 year old kid shot in Liverpool last week, gun crime seems to have reached a new level. I used to live in that area of Liverpool but we were driven out, people dealing drugs in the street in front of our house in broad daylight. The kids even the 12 year olds are a law unto themselves, my Nan was shot with an air rifle, burglaries every damn day. The final straw for us was when I went to the chipshop one night and woke up in an ambulance surrounded by Police after a gang had ran in, and attacked me from behind. Unprovoked just because I'm not the tun of the mill tracksuit wearing glue sniffing moron!. we had to move our whole family out of the area and put ourselves in a lot more debt (rent shot up from £270 to £600 per month in the new area and being a student MR. and MRS. credit card have been maxed out). So what would you do to solve it? I'll start by saying "string the b*stard up by the neck", but that doesn't really work in the real world does it?
Since this is the politics forum, I will suggest a political solution. Invade Liverpool. Fight them over there so you don't have to fight them over here. Seriously though, you moved which was the smart move. I would contact every level of the government and the authorities, you Brits have some fantastic papers, write to the them and try to publicize it to put pressure on the politicians. Sorry to hear about your circumstances. Hope your Nan is ok.
I would say buy a gun, but your government doesn't believe in arming the good people. Best option was to move, I hope you like it where you are now.
