Like the title says. I'm using google Adsense on two sites; onepiecehq.com, rpgmakervx.net. One gets 10,000 uniques a day and the other one gets 1,500 a day. Both get over 1,000,000 impressions a month, and it's only paying 6.29 a day. $6 for the first site and .29 for the other site. Also, did I mention that the rpgmakervx.net site only pays .2 cents a click? There is something extremely wrong here. What am I doing wrong? I'm the top of Google for all my keywords, I have top SEO, I have the best ad placements, but the pay out sucks. I'm starting to lose money on these sites. I know other sites with less traffic, same topic, get 3x the amount these ads pay. I want to expand these sites, but they cost money. Right now the only thing making up the difference are donations.
Best ad placements? You definitely don't. For each section add the ads you have at the very bottom where no one looks, to the very top above all your content where everyone looks. Make the links blue and the background the same as your own site's background. Also do the same on your main page. Your CTR should increase by about 5 times, therefore your earnings will five-fold. (approximations)

You mean the large rectangle ad on top? It would look extremely ugly on top, and would push the content on all pages down by nearly 400 pixels. Everyone on the site would complain. I don't know how to sell products. Please elaborite.

Dude, with that kind of traffic you could be making ALOT more, but you have to decide, you want to make money (get clicks) or please users and hide ads on the bottom of the screen? You cant have both
The website -> http://www.onepiecehq.com/ layout is broken in Firefox on Linux. The header is in the correct place, but all the content below that is shifted way to the right, almost off the screen. Anyone else see this problem?
Use Adbrite ! They pay for every 1000 page views.. even if you keep $0.10/1000 views.. Your gonna make alot of money ! Cheers!
There might be something worng with your account try checking it aswell as the plaement and the pay per click
for high traffic sites but low adsense revenue, i use the combination of 3: bidvertiser, adbrite and adsdaq (US traffic only) you will be able to make $6.29 in just few hours
Flamerid, Place the adsense ads in such way that, it is visible to the visitors without scrolling your pages. Further try to blend your adsense ad and match the color with the rest of your site. Your niche is not a high paying one. But you definitely got enough traffic to make more than $6. Also google never disclose us how much they are paying us. It looks like we are getting less and less out of adsense while google adwords is asking for high CPC even for low competing keywords.
Place the banner sized adsense ad at the top, your visitors won't mind. At least, test that ad placement to see what happens. Think of it this way, you go to sites with adsense ads at the top, don't you? And if you like the content of the site it doesn't bother you... (That's my experience, anyway.) Most of your visitors do not get down to the bottom of the page - they have already found what they are looking for or have moved on.
Ad placement is the key.If you thin that would severely effect your site appearance then hire someone else who can blend the ads well enough so that they look like part of your site
The site is broken for me in IE. I see the left sidebar then when that finishes I see the middle. Also try putting a small link(4 link) on top or between every post. It might help alot!
