Hi! I manage a rent a car business site which is 10 years old. The site pagerank is: 3 The domain does not contain any relevant keyword. The site fails to rank at google for the selected phrases. Only ranks for phrases that contain a part of the url. All pages are indexed by google. Do you think the site is in the sandbox? And if true, will it help to create a subdomain with relevant keywords and move the site there?
Is that true?I do not think a site has 10 years old will be in sandbox.Maybe you need to check the information of your site.
Check archive.org for previous content and build relevant one. After that, pagerank will be rising back if decent amount of backlinks remained. For high quality pagerank domains, just hit: Godaddy expired domain list with high pagerank Currently we have two VALID PR6 domains
I dont think the site is banned, as it is just a 10 pages web site promoting a local business and nothing more. The content is releventand it always was. Although google shows a decent amount of backlinks (around 25) google shows none. Any ideas?
if link: domain.com doesn't show any dofollow links, then try info: domain.com link: domain.com doesn't work properly but it should show atleast 3-10 links for PR3 site (3 links when it's long abandoned site) If info: shows different domain name then it's spoofed pagerank and that means domain is worthless. I suggest to use my tool and purchase valid pagerank domains with 50 and more % indicator of valid pagerank. PR5 domains are getting sold for 69 - 100$ and these domains got thousands of yahoo backlinks and 200 dofollow link: backlinks. So hit Snapnames auctions at my site Godaddys auction are much more expensive, PR5 domains costs usually 1000-3000$ depending on traffic and keyword value. Click on my SIG and enjoy my tool. (SnapNames list will be updated soon with new domains)
I don't think Sand box effect will last for 10 years. More over it has PR 3 due to the age of domain. Try to do some optimization. If you start a subdomain, google will treat it as a new website.
no its not definitely its just need optimizing google are really thorough..why they miss sandbox in 10 years...go for it dude...
Add content to your web site, get good incoming links and make sure that your web pages are optimized for Google.
If it has a page rank then it obviously is not sand boxed. You need to add some keywords to the front page and what not to make it more relevant. if you change your page title name youll lose your Pg rank 3.. dont do this.
No, that site is not sandboxed, it just need some optimization. Make some quality backlinks and niche related. And change content as soon as possible.
I have 12 year old site and that has never happened to it. It needs just to be optimized properly I hope.
That is also problem on my client's site, which is also more than 10 years old. But I suspect that there is a problem in non www page, because there is a different between www and non www page. Check: http://www.ream.si/ and http://ream.si/ Anybody?
