Ok i have a busy sports site / forum that has some decent traffic. 10k unique visitors a month and well over 0.5M page views yet can only muster $100 a month in Adsense. There must be something i can do? Thanks.
Probably you need to blend your ads to get maximum number of clicks. BTW, sports niche is not that high paying.
You need to run affiliate ads...take hockey jerseys for instance, you can get 20% per jersey. PM me if you want to know more. Adsense is not gonna take you where you want to be.
I believe its hard to get clicks on forums ( not a great experience ) but you should try different ad locations and see if $$$ improves or not. Also, try to blend your ads effectively.
You really are not doing that bad. If I compare your stats to my top earning site, you make about 33% of what I make per that same amount of traffic. Considering forums generally earn less than content sites (my site is a content site), you really are not too far off. You might be able to double your earnings to $200/month if you optimize properly. Beyond that you really need more traffic. 10k visitors a month is like 300 visitors a day. It is tough to get steady earning numbers from such small amounts of traffic. Once you grow to a few thousand vistors a day, you might start to see more steady numbers.
Maybe your forum content is so good that they just dont see the ads, make the ads stand out better to them, not in an annoying way but to catch their attention at least.

You need to check Top paying keywords for making money on adsense...maybe sport is not that good for adsense revenues
man i have a 30K uniques month and not monetized yet. Know what is funny? I'm taking care of it at this moment And $100 month its a nice start.
