10K per month with AdSense: show a site sample

In this forum people now and then share their AdSense income numbers. I am always surprised and admire to see the posts from the people who claim to earn 10K and more with AdSense per month.

Could you point me to a site that makes that much? Can one person (not a company or a team of webmasters) manage and maintain a site of that nature?

I also remember the posts where people discuss their websites with millions of pages. How can they create/ generate that much content? And how to optimize?

I understand that no one wants to share their secrets, but could you show the direction to move?

 

What is you rapporximate AdSense range now?

The reason I ask is that looking at a 10K site is putting the cart before the horse. The things that make a 5K site become a 10K are a LOT different than the things that make a $10 a month site become a $1,000 a month site.

If you are just starting out, I would be looking at the basics, not trying to emulate a 10K site (By the way, you won't know the reasons a site is 10K for the most part just by looking at it as a lot of them have to do with sheer numbers of visitors)

 

yfs1 has a good point really. I would cencentrate on the site you have and just keep building links/content. More visitors = More money.

If you can get a good site with good content it will become more popular, then you are on the right tracks.

 

And search for the post started by "Critter" here. It has lots of great tips and will help you get to the "next level"

That should be your approach rather than trying to get the magic formula to instantly jump to 10K a month

And as an answer to the first post... ANY site can make $10k a month if it has enough visitors, no matter what the subject. You give ANY site with ads on it 2+million hits a month and it will earn $$$

So, the content is the king - you need much good content to create many pages for your website (I doubt if a 10-50 page website can get 2+million hits a month. Or am I wrong?)

Then the question is where to get that much content. I do not mean to get it within a month. Where to get that lot of content within 1-2 years?

errrrrrrr, that's up there with that one time I was asked "how do you make a website"

Where you get your content from, depends on your site, and its topics. Most people write their own content instead of trying to find it.

On forums, for example, the content is provided by the users. Article sites you can write an article then let people comment or add to it.

I had a 1 page site, it had 4million hits in a month, but it was a game, and they tend to bend the rules. I have another site, which I indexed using an application that crawled the site like a searchengine spider would, and it crashed with it found over 400,000 pages.


If you want to have a popular site, then just stick to the 5 rules of a successful viral website.

Buy traffic - visitors, buy design, buy copywriters. And make money. Simple, clean and fast..

 

You get non-forum related content by: composing it yourself, hiring someone to do it for you, or republishing other people's content with their permission. I'd strongly suggest the first two options. The third can get you in trouble with duplicate content if you grab articles from article repub sites that are also being republished on 1000s of other sites. Plus it doesn't make your site unique nor a traffic magnet if the same stuff can be found elsewhere. The point of quality content is to give the reader good info that is unique, answers their questions and is not plastered on 1000s of other websites. Just my 2cents based on our experience.
