1099 question - when to send somebody one.

    If I pay somebody $50/month ($600/year) for advertising (adding hard links on their website etc) my website, am I required to send them a 1099-MISC at the end of the year? :confused:

    No. You would send them to a U.S. independent contractor, but if I understand what you are saying, you just bought advertising on some websites.
