1099 from Amazon

    Hi Guys,

    For the first time i made over 8K from Amazon this year, getting prepared for tax returns. I didn't received 1099 from Amazon yet.

    does anyone know when they will mail out 1099 forms ?

    If it doesn't happen soon contact them. Some companies will wait until the last minute to send them out. It's good to give them a little pressure.

    I'd send them an email. I've found that out too. A lot of companies like to wait. Probably because of the sheer number that they have to send out. Just email them and let them know you'll be preparing your taxes soon and need it shortly. Usually they'll be fairly accommodating.

    Hello. I think that in this case you should contact Amazon directly. You know in the familiar situation they wait to the last moment. Harry up them, tell them about your situation. They will react on this quicker.

    I called them last year and they just faxed it to me. Not sure if this is a usual policy.
