Ad placement could be the problem. Place the ads where your visitors look the most. Source of traffic too play a role in improving the CTR :)

If your ads are in the same place on every page of your site then your visitors will naturally become blind to them. Its good to mix it up and integrate them into your content.

It depends a lot about the traffic on your site and demographic. If you have an average-intelligence user, maybe 20% will click on your ads because they think that they're "related links" or whatnot. You're probably also more likely to get clicks if you have more new users than recurring users (Which generally isn't the case unless your website has gone viral).

Change your ads size and placement. If you mean the blog under your signature, then change the ads at side bar to wide skycrapper. Use another 1 rectangular ads inside your first post content

Well Social Bookmarking is your primary traffic source then you can't get clicks from it as it not convert very well! If you have quality traffic then it should be issue with your ads placements!

tarifsingh I have very much the same problem as you! Glad I read this thread though. Putting google ads in my post is an idea I've been toying around with, but reading this I might give it a try.

    Many Thanks all!

That's bad adsense placement. try to get adsense inside the content. A 300*250 banner or so (or 350*200. not sure). The placements such as your's are usually ignored. I did not even notice the ads in the first place. people tend to focus on your contents

I would not worry about this. It can take 100 impressions to 1 click. This is pretty normal. I checked your blog and the ad placement and content seem right. Wait a little more until your have thousands of impression. There, you will have a more accurate picture of how your ads perform. Statistically speaking, your sample is not large enough to be accurate.

you need much much more traffic, scale up the operation, then step back and evaluate what needs to be changed.
