I have 2388 impressions with 99 clicks earning me a mere $16.08 My main issue is getting people to my site. Once people visit it they say they like it a lot more than similar blogs, but getting people there is what's the hard part. I'll have to do a linkshare type of thing or something.
could be worse.. like the 20k impr and 3 click guy lol.. compare ur site with other sites and see what they're doing that your not
A lot of it is out of your control as well. You can design the site to be the best possible, but you still can't force people to click.
I have less CTR then that on some sites, it really depends on if your visitors are new visitors or returning visitors. Like always, it's impossible to give an decent explanation without knowing your niche and the source of your traffic....
Wow!! I can usually generate about 1 click per 90 impressions. But then again I only get about 200 impressions a day.
Everyone is posting they can get x clicks from so many impressions. Its completely pointless unless you post your niche, then people can say whether its good or not. Some of my sites i'd be happy if I could even get 1% CTR, some of them i'd be annoyed if they dropped below 5%. Its all to do with the niche, and the quality of the traffic.
On some sites I've had (we'll call this Group 1, both on same topic): 61,628 3,953 6.41% the CTR was the same for both On others I currently have (well call this Group 2, precisely the same topic, even the same layout and ad positioning, different content): 33,289 8,656 26.00% the CTR is 25.16%, on the second CTR is 29.51% And on another website: 384,191 3,679 0.96% However, the last one is really not being served targeted ads, because there rarely are any targeted ads (people just don't advertise for that keyword). However, people tend to click on stuff that not always has something to do with what they searched. The first sites were on for like 1 year, were not mine, the owner decided to pull them off. However, when I made these 2 sites I didn't know much about ad positioning, however, i blended them pretty well. Group 2 is mine, in which one site has about 2 years old and one is 1 year old. Also the last site is one year old and I'm currently working on re-designing the layout so that it can better integrate the ads. CTR only depends on the layout of the websites, ad positioning and if you are served relevant ads.
lol theres not much to brag about when your CTR is 1% and you get 1 cent a click!!! you'd need 10k hits to make a dollar lol
