I got the impression that Adsense was the best type of Ads FOR your site...so after my 2nd attempt google accepted my website. I was previously using Adbrite for my two websites, which earned me $1-3 per day. When i switched to adsense i made roughly $7 in my first day! I was well chuffed! But since that first day, i havent earned more than $0.03 :-/ I have deleted the ads, redded them (twice) and its still the same. My stats for yesterday: AdSense for Content Page impressions = 1,050 Clicks = 6 Page CTR = 0.57% Page eCPM = $0.02 Earnings = $0.02 Whats going on? Can somebody please help!!!!???!!!
1. Use competitive ad filter to block MFAs 2. Reduce no. of ads on page 3. Change ad positioning 4. Try using square image ad in the middle of the page
if you only got $0.2 for 6 clicks then google must have ignored them probably because they were fake or were from country's that the advertisers wern't looking for
I believe you have to change the AD format used on your website. 300x250 and 336 x 280 AD format have best result for me.
Hey, thanks for all the suggestions folks! Its appreciated! On my blog, I cut down the ads...but they have always been in the same place... Blog: (Right hand side bar) 1 Google adsense (160x600) 1 Abrite (160 x 600)(text + image ads only) 1 Google adsense (Referral) (160x600) 1 Abrite (160 x 600)(text + image ads only) Other site: On my other site i have 1 Abrite top banner (728x90) (plus inline + full page ads) 1 google adsense (middle of page / left hand side) (300x250) 1 adbrite (middle of page / right hand side) (300x250 ) (plus inline + full page ads) I must be doing something wrong somewhere...why would adsense be so low? Even adbrite (which am i right in thinking isnt the best) performs better? Cheers again!
Hi folks, @ nmartel : How do you go about blocking the low paying ads in adsense? sorry about the ctr thing...lesson learned @ arnie : My ads seem to be in the correct position...or at least i think they are :-/ @ james : no probs man...im glad that ppl are suggesting stuff to us new guys haha! keep em coming! @ idoit : It seems to be working for me (adbrite + adsense)...although i am no expert (just started this month) so maybe somebody can clarify this?
Damn, its only went upto $0.97! AdSense PI 839 clicks 5 ecpm $1.12 total $0.94 The only real things seo things i have done are: submit to google/yahoo dugg some articles/stumbleapon links in forums/other blogs (lots) ?? i have google webmaster tools...do you somehow use the top search queries for your website in your adsense? can you do that on blogger also? kinda stuck, with this part...i see you can purchase seo software...how does that gather information and make you site search engine compatible? cheers!
Ah, nice one mate! So thats partly what im doing wrong...i have asked google nicely about section targeting...so far I have found before the main content, stick this in the html: <!-- google_ad_section_start --> Code (markup): Then stick in the words i want to use (can you help me out with the formatting here???) Then close the tage with this: <!-- google_ad_section_end --> Code (markup): Plus, if there is anything you want adsense to ignore, i use this: <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) --> Code (markup): Is that correct? I have a blog, so on each page would i chage the words around to suit whats on the page? Does this work with adbrite? It also says you wont notice a difference until the googlebot visits your wesbite...can i re-submit my site for a faster result? Sorry for so many questions...thanks folks
Hi pioneer1, its driving me mental, honestly. I did what you suggested and deleted my ads, re-added them...changed some formatting (left the placement and colours)...its improved today - currently at $1.96. Better than 0.02 eh! Haha! Can anybody help me with the section targeting...i dont wont to mess about with it until i know its correct. I have one site plus a blog (blogger/blogspot) If i posted my urls would that help? A little bit nervous cause they aint 100%...yet
Adsense is so random, I have a site I post to every day and it only averages like 4 cents a click then today a website I gave up on gets 1 click at $1.98, what is a poor blogger to do
