@Chewysmom, design_nikki, and jnjnnino: I tried to catch the client today, but it looks like Monday before I get more feedback. Sorry for the wait.

@Abyss: This looks really good. Here are a few recommendations. First, you need to add a newsletter to the header. Second, your
"Service" image needs to say "401k Services" and it needs to have a different image. In fact, all your images need to be different. Read my feedback to understand the type of images the client is looking for. Thanks.

@xxxplatinium: Thanks for your submission. There are several things you need to add and change. First, you need to add a newsletter and search bar as referenced ealier. You also need to change your three images to what the client has asked, and also the titles the client has requested. You can find all this feedback on this comment.

@shinan: Glad to have your submission, be careful though, because this submission has some close simularities to design_nikki's design. The only suggestion I have is to find a different graphic than the man taking money. This is not quite the look that the client wants. Plus, I don't want the graphic to bleed into the navigation. It makes it difficult for further growth of the website. Hope this helps.

 

Thanks for the invite. I see you have some nice entries so far. I will have to check back tomorrow and see if your contest is still going. Then if I have time I will work on a design. Now I am just recovering my computer from a nasty virus.

 

Hi, I made the changes. Not sure if the newsletter is taking up too much space on header though so any ideas would be appreciated. I did consider just having name and email and forgetting about the newsletter 1 or 2. Then, when they click 'Go', there will be an optioon for which newsletter they want to sign up too.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Thanks everyone for patiently waiting over the weekend. I was really hoping to finish everything up Saturday, but no such luck. Since I want to finish this contest very soon, I am closing the contest to any new submissions. I apologize if anyone is currently working on a design, but we need to finish up.

So, for this contest, I will be awarding two runner-ups $20 and one winner $65. Currently, the client has narrowed down the possible winners to four submissions (listed below). Two designs are still be considered for the the third spot. There are a couple revisions these two artists need to make in order for the client to decide who will be the third finalist. Once the three finalist are decided the client needs to take these three designs back to their company and decide the winning design (which should only take a day or so).

I know, it's quite the process and I hope to have it over shortly. So, without further delay here are the four artists being considered:

jnjnnino
willhaynes

Chewysmom and design_nikki are finalists. Willhayes and jnjnnino are being considered for the final spot. The client did have some very minor changes they wanted Chewysmom and design_nikki to make to their designs. However, I told the client that Chewysmom and design_nikki should only have to make these changes if he or she wins the contest. If Chewysmom and design_nikki still want me to share the client's feedback let me know.

As for Willhayes and jnjnnino's submissions below is the client's feedback on your designs. You have 24 hours from the time of this posting to return your feedback. After both of you submit your design I should have an answer shortly on who will take the third position in the finalist. willhaynes: We like your design, however, the large pencil in the welcome doesn't fit our company. If you could use a stock market picture that would be better.

jnjnnino: The man holding up the graph is great. The one thing we don't like is the three columns of text under your three pictures. If you could remove these columns and the read more arrows and then make your three pictures bigger. Also, move up the text that says, "We are..." and the newsletter signup to be right under the three pictures.

@Chewysmom: The client didn't have too much feedback. Out of the three variations you gave they liked http://i34.tinypic.com/2199fg8.jpg, but they wanted the bold font you have in the navigation of http://i36.tinypic.com/1zxv9ti.jpg to be in the submission they like (2199fg8.jpg). Other than that everything looks great.

 

Here are some updated entries, with new title images.

If there are any other revisions your client would like, just let me know (I defiantly wouldn't mind doing another round of revisions!)! of course I can also change the image to something else of his/her choosing.

@willhaynes: I sent your images over to the client. They are gone from their office for the day, so we should hear back by tomorrow. Having extensively worked with the client I can give you my feedback. Of the three images, the image with the woman holding a marker is probably the closest to what the client is looking for. However, in your image the woman is showing that profits are decreasing instead of increasing, so I can see the client not liking that picture as much. Hope this helps.

@design_nikki: The client preferred the design you submitted without clipart in the newsletter (http://www.designkom.com/projects/designs/cannon-mockup-design-4.jpg). The only recommendation the client had was to use a different image for "Wealth Management." He didn't particularly care for the one you have now.
