    FEEDBACK

    @Chewysmom: Your second submission also looks good. I would remove the newsletter signup. It doesn't fit in the footer.

    @stardesigns99: I like this layout and color scheme. What I think needs to change are the images. The guy with a thumb up doesn't work (though, the graphs in the background look fine). Also, with the images below I would remove the yellow shading. Concerning the Newsletter, I would add a name field to the box and also provide some better color blending with the box (the bright blue doesn't fit). I would remove the title, text, and little arrows that are found under the three images. I would just move the "How it Works?" right up to under the images. Hope this helps.

    @VashaDesign: One thing that would help your design is to add a content area underneath your three boxes. I would also not have all the same images for your three lower boxes. You are probably just showing the design concept of the three boxes, but it helps the client see exactly what you make their home page look like. Thanks for your submission.

    FURTHER DESIGN DIRECTION

    I just finished speaking with the client and your submissions helped give the client more direction of what they are looking for. Here are is further direction on what you need to put into your designs:

    [*]Newsletter sign-up. The client actually has two newsletters they send out. So maybe having a sign-up (name and email) with a drop down (newsletter 1, newsletter 2, both) under the sign-up for the user to select.

    [*]Three image sections. Many of you incorporated three or four image boxes. The client definitely wants three image boxes, but you can do four. For the three boxes your categories are: Wealth Management (use an image of finacial people helping average peopel), 401k Services (use an image of graph going up, as if you are making a lot of money), and Managed Futures (use an image showing an aspect of the stock market). If you do a fourth box it needs to be Newsletter Archive (client didn't specify an image here).

    [*]Search bar. Incorporate the search function into your header.

    CLIENT FEEDBACK

    So, I am going to admit that this client is a bit more picky than most. Generally, I like to give constructive feedback on designs that may not be a client's favorite at first, just in case the client changes their mind. However, this client is asking that I don't show the designs that they do not like again. Basically, if the client doesn't like your design right away they are asking you submit another design if you want to be considered. Obviously, the choice is up to you if you want to submit again, but know that I personally apprecaite your hard work and hope that you will participate in my future contests if you don't submit a new design in this one.

    With that said here is the feedback from the client on all the designs submitted so far:

    @kolgames - No thank you!

    @Chewysmom - I do not like your first design at all, but I do like your second design (http://i36.tinypic.com/sq1kpu.jpg). I particularly like the background and the four pictures you have under the welcome. I like where you put the welcome part. Please add search bar somewhere at the top. Also, move newsletter to the top of the Web site. Concerning the tabs in the navigation I like the blue tab but the white tabs should be changed to a light gray.

    @dimitri123 - Not a design I want.

    @jnjnnino - I like your second design (http://unlock-all-motorola.com/css/css/entries/ccm-index-2.jpg). Nice place to put the newsletter. I really like the introduction text you put under the logo. I like the blue in the navigatin but don't use the gold, it is too much. Plus, the search engine shouldn't be gold.

    @stardesigns99 - Don't like the design.

    @design_nikki - I like the side bar. Instead of having the dates in the sidebar will you put Wealth Management for the first entry and 401k Services for the second entry. Instead of the gold box next to puzzle picture put the newsletter sign up. None of the pictures in the three squares work for our services.

    @VashaDesign - Don't like this design.

    @bizzard - Don't like this design.

    FEEDBACK

    @Chewysmom: Thanks for your quick revisions. There are several changes. First, can you frame the newsletter with a square background. Also, you forgot to add the Newsletter drop down as well (see my last feedback to the whole thread). The search bar doesn't work in the welcome box. Everything below the navigation will change on the subpages. So, the search bar and newsletter need to be in the header. Maybe if you moved the navigation over to the left and put the search function on the same line as the navigation. Just an idea. Finally, your fourth box (News Archive) needs to be an image and not text. The client left it up to your imagination on what image to use for the News Archive. Hope this helps.

    @VashaDesign: There are fundamental flaws with this submission. You need to see that there will be subpages to this design. Everything under the navigation is going to change. So putting the logo in the welcome box will no longer exist as soon as the user goes to another page on the website. This goes as well with the search and newsletter. These elements (logo, search, newsletter) should try to be above the navigation unless directed otherwise. Sorry, I cannot show this design to the client until these things are fixed. Thanks.

    @jnjnnino: Thanks for the changes. I will submit both backgrounds to the client.

    @design_nikki: Thanks for making the revisions. Some suggested changes. First, the newsletter sign-up looks good. However, I am not sure if the clipart fits with the rest of the design. Could you try something different? Thanks for making the changes with the dates in the sidebar. However, the client liked how you had "Latest News" where you now have "Services." If you could change back to this that would be great. Finally, you didn't change the images in the other three boxes. The client really does not like any of them. You can look at the feedback I gave on the images you should use. Oh yeah, one last suggestion. You need to change the word in the image with the dollar puzzle from "slove" to "solve." Hope this helps and thanks for your hard work.

    ANNOUNCEMENT

    So far, the below designers are the only designs the client likes. I am going to try to work with the client over the weekend but it will be difficult. So, I see this contest going to Monday or Tuesday. Sorry for the long contest. I try to make them shorter, but sometimes it doesn't happen. So, other designers are welcome to join over the weekend.

    FEEDBACK

    @Chewysmom: After speaking with the client they have decided that the newsletter just doesn't work with your design. They would like to remove it completely. Also, to try to not make the design looks so boxy they've asked if you would not have a the gray rectangle behind the navigation. Instead, they only want a blue rectangle over the page you are on (like what you currently have on the home button). The rest of the navigation will be on the site's blue background. Let me know if that doesn't make sense. Everything else the client really likes.

    @jnjnnino: The client likes your first background, but not ccm-index-final-2.jpg. Also, they have asked for you to remove the light gold strips that you have on the three images.

    @design_nikki: The client agrees with me on all the recommended changes. They particularly do not like the clipart on the newsletter. They didn't offer any other advice, but they did feel you did a great job of incorporating the gold into your design.

    Thanks for feedback again, I tried several variations since it helps the client to see the possibilities
    one with news archive incorporated in the menu and newsletter subscription instead of the image.
    one with no rectangle container for the menu and one with combination of above
    any change is possible and I can incorporate any element that's needed, thanks again
