thanks for the feedback, i explored the cartoonish idea you earlier expressed here is another try EDIT: another idea:
dang tropicana your stuff is good although imo i would have put the small pink text under Gamogorgeous
thanks hades, its nice to be complimented i did have it underneath, but the CH liked it above (well in a earlier design!)
These are just great; thanks everyone! Jonesy: Your first entry was closer. We don't like the lipstick and the stripes sort of look like an ice cream parlour. If you're interested, would still love to see another take on your original design! Sandeepramje: That's nice work, but the style is just not what we're looking for. The mask is a really bad connotation for what we're trying to do. Good creativity, though. Tropica: Appreciate your additional entries. They are progress, but frankly some of the other contestants are submitting some more elaborate and higher quality work now. Would be thrilled to see one more try if you like! (Tag line should go on the bottom, too.) Jamess: Very impressive quality, but this too is not at all a fit with the audience and tone we are trying to establish. The figure looks like she is a model, and we are trying to reach "real" women of all shapes and sizes (most of whom don't consider themselves to look like models.) The colors and fonts are also a bit too conservative/corporate for what we are trying to convey. You are quite talented and we'd love to see another, more whimsical entry from you! Mr. Radic: Very interesting! This is closest to what we internally invisioned, with three non-descript figures that appear to feel happy about themselves. The figures need a little more refinement (eyes or limbs on some so they don't look creepy?) but are a fantastic start. The mirror doesn't quite work, as it makes it look like they are ice skating. "Gamorgeous" needs to look a little more professional/less childish and maybe not black, but is also a nice effort. The tag line looks great! Will this scale well - It is hard to see in smaller sizes on my monitor. Mooseman: Nice work, but probably a better fit with some of the adult sites. Ramakrishna Also quite impressive. Don't care for those specific colors you chose, but like that it is so colorful. Perhaps make the character smile a bit more? Not sure about the flowers on the bottom left corner. Are the proportions going to work well in various sizes?
I'm forwarding this over to her, she should have another entry in soon. I'll make sure to tell her it must scale well.
Here you go... Original + Scaled at 50%. Once again, anything can be modified. Thanks, Radic ReliableSite.Net LLC
Thanks very much for the great follow up entries. Jamess and MrRadic have both submitted excellent designs that we're very excited about. However, neither is quite what we're looking for yet, so we'd like to extend the contest as follows: Upon submission of at least one new version, Jamess and MrRadic will both be awarded $10.00 via PayPal (please PM me your account email address for payment). We will continue to provide feedback and pick a winner for the $101.00 prize by Wednesday morning (California time), provided that we see a final design that we want to move forward with. Any current or new contestants may submit entries for the $101.00 prize as well, but no further $10.00 prizes will be awarded. Here is some additional feedback to guide revisions: To Both Entrants: It looks like all of your designs could present some challenges in terms of scaling. So, instead of a rectangle and square design as originally stated, we will need one logo as presented (with words and the characters) and one with just the name and tag line. Also, the tag line is stil in flux, meaning we may change it. Doesn't look like that will have a big impact on either of your designs, though. Also, you both seemed to draw inspiration from the image WE provided in the creative brief, so please don't bicker. MrRadic: We LOVE the diversity of the figures! They are much improved, though right now we like the quality and style of JamesS' figures better. The font/script of the tag line looks very nice, though could be a bit clearer and easier to read. "Gamorgeous" does not look good. We don't like the font, outline or color and the style seems to clash with the tagline. JamesS: Your figures look very sharp, clear and professionally done. The woman jumping does an OUTSTANDING job of conveying the feeling we're going for. The arms of the characters are showing up as jagged lines, so please try to smooth them out. We do not like the blue haired queen. Please replace her with a more diverse character (perhaps brown skinned), and consider presenting her in something other than a head on view. Also, at least one of the characters should appear to be older. We like what you tried for with "Gamorgeous" in that it is very clean and professional looking. However, the second 'g' looks too much like a 'Q'. Perhaps experiment with slightly different colors, too. Please get rid of the gray background. Go with plain white or add a small touch of another color, such pink, lavender or brown. Finally, we had significant problems scaling and printing your submission, so please sure that the format of your next entry is more user friendly. Again, we tremendoulsy appreciate everyone's hard work and can't wait to see who wins this contest! Please feel free to post or PM with any questions.
