Hi, I'm thinking about a directory network, using same database from 101 domain, to can give the submitters 101 links. Have this idea any problems about SEs, or can get any penality ? thanks, ggot
So you want to create a link farm, fill it with rubbish, charge the un wary xyz $ to list in 101 directories, yep brilliant.
Not really a good plan for directories in general - not to mention the duplicate content. Search engines will find it easily enough imo.
What if the directory links would appear randomly ? 150 directories, but if you submit a link it will appear only in 101. (easy to solve in php) Then there won't be content duplication. I think the main problem of my idea is how to make a good pagerank for 100-150 sites...
don't waste your time. If you can...build ONE good & strong web directory. If not...do not fuck this niche with another 101 junk sites please
LOL I think the main problem is 99-149 directories to many, dood it sounds like the $ is your main focus not a service to those getting the link, this will lead to you just accepting rubbish and you will sink in the smelling stench pile of crap directories before you know it. O i guess 100+ directories fill them with ads i must make a buck from that right, Stop reading the crap how to make a gazzilion using a directory e books would be a help..
First a)Same links in 101 sites will attract a penalty from Google b)101 directories are tough to manage and promote c)Most submitters will not submit as they may fear of being penalized ... Better you can buy 10-20 established directories of PR2-PR3 and you can offer links to your submitters as bulk
This is ike dmoz.org, since google, aol, etc all use the database from dmoz. But it's not good for you to do that, if any errors caused the database connection problem, your 101 directories will be dead. There are some people do like this, run many directories in the same host by using 1 database. If you run the 101 directories in different host, I'm interested how you can connect to a database from external sites.
There are many ways to solve this. If you programming PHP, you should know it. And what if the sites are on same host, different domain ? Easiest way, GoDaddy, deluxe hosting, all on one, using same SQL. But there are other possibilities, for different hosting. That is the easier part of this idea.
This is not a good idea. Many submitters want unique submissions. And it is not healthy for a directory network to be using the same listings. Most of the directory networks I have seen accept individual submissions on each directory. You could possibly offer the option to post in the entire network as part of a paid review process. Good luck
The SEs will figure out the scam and you'll end up with no organic traffic, no page rank, and no customers.
they will be all the same, you will have problems with duplicate content, they will all be on the same ip, it's a waste of time in my oppinion.
