You might want to consider SEO: -Second level linkwheeling (through web 2.0 sites, article directories, etc) -RSS submissions -Directory Submissions -Video Marketing (youtube, liveleak, etc.) -Forum commenting, forum profile building (and linking them to your linkfarms) SMM -Twitter -Facebook pages (promotion is key here, you will probably need some software) -Other social networks (myspace, bebo, etc.) -Social bookmarking Additionally: -Identi.ca -Off-line marketing? seo success evaluation is depending on the niche. some niches like medical staff has a very high competition with a very high conversion rate. other niches the visitors are a lot and the conversion is poor so it depends on your site niche
DMOZ is human-edited and can take a LONG time. But if you can get your site listed it's worth the wait. Yahoo can take your money and still not approve you. I think the posted who suggested link wheeling and other stuff was on to something. I'd add some of the web 2.0 type linking strategies to the ones you've mentioned, which by the way, were all good.
