Based on your post, your CTR is only 0.15% which is very low for a site whose most traffic is coming from search engines. It's really quite strange to hear that. This is because it is the visitors from search engines who are really looking for something to link, and do not care if they are ads. Anyway, here is how I see your blog. It is more like a book than a blog. Your content are almost complete I think readers don't find the reason to click your blog. For me, a good Adsense earner blog is an ugly blog. This uses no good-looking template, has very casual posts, and messed up with ads. This is to attract the visitors to click ads, instead of being annoyed with them while enjoying the posts.
OK, let me repeat myself: it's not a misspelling, it's simply the British English way of spelling it. See: http://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/defence.html
This video pretty much sums it up how you should place your Adsense units and which colors perform best. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noEXfODRbvo
What? it's unbelievable! Your adsense placement is not too bad... Put a couple of image skyscapper ads on the sidebar..they'll get you some revenue from cpm even though you don't get enough clicks.
nice site, try to put ads inside posts, maybe then ads will be more accurate, people either don't click your ads cos they're not relevant or because they came to your website looking for something else.
Are you sure, you're getting 10k unique visitors !!? do you use Google analytics as statiques analyser ?!!!
I think the layout should never have Google ads right at the top of the page before the content begins. Try integrating your content with the ads.
try to make your ads blend in with your web page, by placing ads within the content and making the ad have the same colour scheme as the rest of your content
Play around some, move the adsense ads and see if the clicks go up. Also you are targeting India and Indian clicks traditionally don't make much money.
The thing is I am using Blogger so it's not that flexible to put ads..... Defence is not a miss-spell it's actually british... Please visit www.defencetalk.com it's really popular... How come if it's miss spelled??? I get lot of traffic from many sources... Search engine... forum links... Digg or reddit... Plus please take a look at this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=8385188 That's how I make 10k visitors per day.... I use google analytics.... I have never bought any traffic... I didn't even use Adwords for that matter.... The thing I did not think of making money when I created the site after two years only recently I have been using adsense....
I took all of your suggestion.. The did the best I could... Even changed the theme to one of bloggers ugliest default layout... Please suggest...
First thing, I would do is change the color in your heading title to black. The blue does'nt work and does not stand out. You also need to break up the page and place an advert. As I can see your ads are only showing on top of the page and below. Good luck!!
the new placement worked I got 160 clicks with $15.7. It's not much since my site has niche contents... But I am getting right amount of clicks...
Too Queer, since i have had a look on your web/blog, no comments found by any of 10000 visitors, even they are daily in number. And i checked no yahoo back links do you have. by the way... Place ads in sidebar, choose good colors for title, url matching to your template. and use link unit ads too on top
