Hi guys, Given the following stat: - 10000 uniques a day that produce 100000 impressions. World wide users from 120 countries. - These are not targeted users that come from search engines but regular visitors. Will this stat make money ? Can you make a rough estimation of the daily income ? The reason I've yet to show Amazon ads is because I'm building a community. I want to earn their trust and make them used to my website first. Appreciate, Thanks
To make money with amazon you have to establish your authority because unless you do that it is at times not that easy. Check out problogger where he showed how he reached 100k+ with amazon
Sure, you can make money with amazon with this kind of traffic. How much you can make it totally up to you. How much sales you will make depends on how much you will promote there products. Will you put links in posts or will you just put banners on. How much money you will make also depends on amount of sales (more sales, bigger %) and of course of product that you will promote. You will make more money if you'll promote plasma tvs then pens. But you can estimate how much you can make using my stats. I promote there products actively in my blog posts. I have CTR about 19.8% and conversion about 2-3%. I try to drive target traffic only. I do much better where I have bigger % of us visitors.
That is enough traffic to make a very significant amount of sales on a daily basis, sounds like too much traffic to not have monetized already. You're losing money each day that you aren't making sales or selling ad space. thnx, PuReWebDev
That is very encouraging thanks. I do have my own reasons. As I stated, I'm in the process of building a user base, large enough to rely on.
If your Goal is relationship building then leave the ads off the site and Just use email as your sales medium. With a BIG trust factor you will find that you can almost guarantee a response to an offer. provided you target it correctly and don't bash the list every day. (3-4% conversions you will laugh at) it sounds like you have done your homework, so don't pi$$ your visitors off by changing the site and adding ads all of a sudden. Just send them an offer every 2 weeks or so related to your audience. One Dumb Aussie P.S Gee I hope you capturing details. if not start Right now and build your list.
reding through the thread I see that the last 7 posts are quite off topic. who asks you about adsense or own ads back to the topic. earning from that traffic depends on may factors: 1. as you know Amazon.com/de/fr/ca/jp only ships to a limited number of countries. at least most of the products. so if your traffic is from other places the revenue will not be that high. check your country stats to see if you have many visitors from the above countries. 2. niche. site with that amount of traffic tends to be more general and thus is not very targeted to a specific niche. this is a little bit harder to target as different people have different interests. it might take you alot of time to find out which products sell well on your site. 3. will this make money? to some point YES. In some cases it might not be big money but still ... 4. estimate... I don't think that anyone will be able to give you any estimate about your possible daily income. Even sites with long purchase/revenue history tend to surprise me from time to time. @PixelHut: even pens will make more money than tvs if the site is about office products for example I would advise you to promote some products even now. Not in a spamish way of cource. Opt-In email campaigns once a month is also a good way to get a few sales
I've sent about 700 clicks or so to Amazon, but made only one measly sale out of that. I've yet to figure out how to make money with Amazon I had much better luck with Adsense, but my visitors are mostly from search engine, so your situation is probably different.
Amazon is always difficult to monetize unless you know how it works best for you. See the problogger report on this http://www.problogger.net/archives/2009/08/19/amazon-associates-tips/
