Nothing in short term. However if you are able to attract some backlinks to your pages / site, it will definitely affect the long term serps. So if you are expecting this kind of traffic, do some good link baiting!
Google will not see the how much traffic your site has ? It will see only links for your site so there is not much effect in your page rank.
10,000 of visitors an hour? Are those from traffic exchanges? If Google ranking is based on visitors to the site, then everyone will be buying those "hits" from traffic exchanges. I heard, however, that Alexa rating might partially influence SERP.
Wow, that's great. 10000 visitors an hour. I agree with all that a lot of visitors not change your Google PR. Google PR increase if you have a lot of good quality backlinks. But, with that great total visitors. Your Alexa Rank will increase highly.
traffic doesn't have any utmost value in search engine factors.. hmmmm if you are getting traffic on your online product service site then it would surly help you out in sale.
did you hit the Digg or Reddit homepage to get that kind of traffic and that will not have any bearing on the rankings.
Cool. My question seems to have been answered. If I got 10'000 unique vists in a few hours my page rank and serp wouldn't change. Not that I ever expect to see that kind of traffic. Thanks all.
i dont think 10,000 unique visitors will affect your PR. Buildings backlinks in a slow process will help.
WHAT! Where do you guys come from? Have you not read about the PR algo? I mean, to be ignorant of the facts is fine, but to peddle that ignorance in the guide of decent advise is immoral and stupid! PageRank deals with backlinks, NOT traffic! Please research before handing out 2nd rate and blatently ill thoughtout advice to people!
nothing will happen 10.000 uniques is not that much.. google weighs content and backlinks much more than traffic.
