I am having a business like disagreement with my friend Scott. He thinks traffic is more vital to bring better business, but if you make $1000 with 100 visitors, imagine how much more you can make from just a small sliver of traffic. Anyways, please vote. Thank you.
Obviously your end goal is to make as much money as possible. Traffic is just something you try to obtain to help reach that goal. But if you can make more money with less traffic then go for it.
Well as I had said we were discussing your earnings versus my traffic. I feel the pool you made is very misleading like I asked not too be lol. Anyways though the poll should be closer to this.. - 100 repeat unique visitors to blog + random other uniques vs. - Paying people to make $60 on forums. I feel the traffic is a lot more vital for business as your long term gains are far better. Sure if your making a grand off of your 100 visitors then I have nothing to argue but when it is how we were talking about it, it makes more sense. So your poll is biased and make it more realistic as we were talking about it.

Of course it is. That is why I feel trying to gain the consistent traffic to a site will earn more then making a hundred bucks from paying forum people. It is great to earn that way as well but I think gaining the traffic then converting with it will do better for business. The poll was suppose to be based on something non hypothetical so I don't get what you mean lol by saying its a hypothetical question. Anyways I guess the poll won't work since its obvious the answer, even I would choose $1000 over the traffic, but that wasn't what this was suppose to be about. Oh well -Scott
Unless the low traffic, high pay option is a sure thing that will guarantee you long term business stability, then I would suggest aiming for high traffic and worrying about income later. EDIT: This may sound contradictory to my first post but that's because at first I was just voting on the hypothetical poll, now that we are talking real world situation, its different.

The correct answer to your riddle is "conversions". Traffic is nice. But you want QUALITY, CONVERTING traffic. If you can sell at 1 in 100 UV, versus 1 in 1000, then you are off to a good start. Traffic is good for bragging about your e-penis. But it doesn't pay the bills. Converting traffic is the key. 2 cents.
