A friend of mine needs to transfer around 1k$ from Canada to India. He's buying something. At the moment he doesn't have 1k in his account, he will add it through a credit card. My question is that if he adds the the card no now, will it take alot of time? or will it be instant? Also, does paypal charge any fee or ask for any other identification if transfer is above a set amount? Any other things I should know of? Thanks
Whether he has verified paypal? It may take several days If this is a unverified paypal.... About fees you can check this link.. Thanks
I'm not even sure if it's possible, but you wouldn't want to fund a paypal account with a credit card. This would be like putting a cash advance on the card which goes with a huge interest rate 30%APR+. If you make a payment with paypal using the credit card, you're ok. Just don't deposit into your own account from a credit card. If the account is verified, adding a new card would be instant.
The account is verified. And I need to just send the payment through paypal (using credit card) not deposit into paypal.
Not everyone is a seller on Paypal and as such, they would require a credit card to make payment on that platform. Basically when you make a payment, paypal would first draw from existing balance, followed by the bank account (instant payment) before reaching for the credit card. Since the account is verified, you probably just need to add the credit card, do the authentication (expander use program) which may take a few days (depending on whether he has access to his online banking account). After which, payment is quite instantaneous. No fees of any sort is required but he probably be billed US$1.95 from his credit card but it would be deposited to his paypal account after authentication and after the first transaction.
It should be instant if it's via credit card. However, there are some pretty high fees for that big of a transaction.
for transactions like that.. and instant cash on hand.. try a service like western union. paypal is not for 1000+ transfers
