1000 Guitar Videos - Will it improve my site?

I'll post them up in a week (or hopefully in two days). Of course, only the best. So would good quality content push the site into the 1000 - 2000 visitors a day mark? Now it gets around 240 daily visitors.

The main goal is to get traffic using other people's videos. These people don't mind because I'm getting them free traffic. I can use my traffic to sell ads once the traffic is over the 1000 a day mark. But the written material still must be self written. This is necessary for SEO.

If those are videos which people are searching for, and if you can rank for those terms, yes.

Only time will tell that but one thing is for certain, it is not going to hurt anything.

So 1000 is a good number? Is that doable in two days or a week? That's considering I have all the free time in the world. Yes, it would only be videos that people like. I don't know about ranking for terms. Probably I'm hoping for word of mouth.

If you have the video links already, why don't you just publish them all first?
Then use Google Keyword Tool to find out the search volume.
Out of the top terms, find out the least competitive ones and build links to those pages/videos.

I'll look into it. Right now I have to find the videos and then translate the video code (video code usually doesn't validate) and then embed it into my site.

http://www.tools4noobs.com/online_tools/youtube_xhtml is a good tool for translating you tube video.

Probably the hardest part is finding the videos. Of course the navigation system will be tough too. If you noticed my video pages all have a numbered navigation system on the bottom of each video page.

I'll probably go ahead and build the pages with the navigation system and then later add the videos.

The consistency is the most important key to success with this type of site. :) If you have started with 5 video a day then you should continue as this rate or more. If you just uploaded with 100 video in one day and then nothing new in next five days then it would be a wasted. The another way is let other peoples upload their video to help your site growth.

Just add 2 or 3 per day. Instead of hundred ;) Instead of wasting time posting those others, invest the time to create some links to those videos through email marketing and posting the titles on forums etc. It will definitely help much more than just adding a few hundred new articles in one week :D

It's very difficult to add 1000 videos. I can only add about 10 good ones a day and that's tough. But I think about 300 videos should make my site competitive. Do you agree?

I'm not sure if people are going to the video page. The high traffic pages scare people off or they visit pages other than the video. But the video page is where I want them to go. So probably I'll add one video to my high traffic pages to impress people.

i think post the videos to youtube and linking back to your site at the end of the videos will help to build high traffic to your site.
