Hi Zaheer, Yes this a large SEO firm, as a matter of fact I believe they are highest ranked for keyword search engine optimization and that was the main factor and reason I went with them. As you mentioned I don't have time to put into this myself. They have me ranked in the top 5 for alot of my keywords, my belief about this, it was with their on page work they did at the start of the project. It really made a difference. Other keywords I'm on page 2 or 3 and a few others I'm not in the first ten pages. As for how competitive the keywords are, I went for all 3 word terms that were under 1,000,000 competing sites on google. It just seems to me they are collecting the $$$ money now, I see no increase in traffic or links in the last 4 to 6 months, it's just holding steady. I've contacted a couple other well known companies today and they wanted MORE!!! Like $2500 a month. It's very hard to know who to trust with this, so I tend to gravitate towards these large firms that have impressive client lists. But they all want the big bucks, and a term contract. I can't believe you guys made all kinds of comments without knowing the site and the keywords for this site. This makes a big difference on the fee. Without this info, I would not give my input. And yes, SEO is a whole lot of works and it is an ongoing process. Therefore, it is no doubt that you must spend some monies in order to keep it up. It's funny for some small companies spending their money on PPC every month but they would not engage SEO services. Of course, starting out there is big cost but in the long run SEO is way better than PPC.
That is a little high, are they also doing other aspects of SEO on the site also? It seems also if you are not making alot of money on the site also, it maybe better to look somewhere else at least for a comparison. Alot of SEO companies try people into monthly accounts and do very little after the first few months. I also recommend to people if you are paying $1000 a month, ask what they have done in the past month, ask for a report on where and how this time was spent. This is one thing I try to do for SEO clients, is to justify every minute we spend doing something, explain why we did it and explain where there money is going.
