$100 WordPress Design Contest

This is the best overall design so far and the closest to a "web 2.0" style, but there are a few issues. First please read our detailed design specs and requirements.

Secondly we don't like black sites so if we could see a lighter, brighter design without all of the finance and Adsense stuff and simply a standard/default WP setup with dummy text that would help.

Ok, just spent quite a bit of time on this converting it to a white look. Give me your initial thoughts.

Yeh, but I don't want to sell it for like $20. I might use it myself on a future blog site if I don't sell it soon.

 

Don't sell it for 20 then, put a price worthy of it. Quality always sells ya know.

hello, I have a few questions before I try and come up with a design.

do you want your sidemenu bar on the left or right side of the page?
are there any specific colors you would like used in the design?
what is the topic of this site / blog?

 

Those are two unbelievable designs, Dusty. I thought it would look bad in white, but wow. That is awesome.

 

Those are all good questions! We would like a "travel" themed design, right side menu bar for "categories, archives, ext", top/header menu bar for "pages" and bottom footer with "XHTML Valid" and "CSS Valid" logo/icons. As for colors please make them "fun" and "vibrant" to go with the travel theme. Please no all-black sites or all-white sites. Also we'd like an RSS logo as well as the text size icons and site width icons somewhere high on the page. Hopefully that answers all your questions, thanks for asking!

 

Great, quality design. Not sure about the feminine colors or the bubble theme, but great design nonetheless. I'll think more about this design over night and give you more feedback tomorrow. Thanks again for your time and submission.

 

Guys/gals please allow us to apologize. We wanted to leave the design direction up to you so we could see your creativity and what you came up with. But we realize now that this was a mistake on our part. This only makes it more difficult for you to meet our requirements and harder for us to compare "apples to apples". It was an honest mistake and one we won't make again.

As you can see above we replied to one designer with far more design direction to help you. So in honor of our mistake we'd like to extend this competition another week to next Thursday, May 3.
