I want one page designed and properly coded for $100. I think that's reasonable.

Pretty reasonable. It's a good offer - unfortunately I'm no coder.

I think so. :) A few nice graphics, some lipsum ipsum text and voila a template. It's not that big a stretch to throw something together in HTML.

There are people on DP that would do it for $5 which still leaves you with $95 of profit. :)

Provided you follow the conditions laid out above, someone will win. :) If you post early, I'll provide feedback.

    Kristeejo's personal site: http://www.theinternetprofessional.com/

Is an example of something I'm NOT looking for. It's cartoonish and not at all what I'm trying to present.

I also like the color blue but am not tied to it.

One more question, Since you want the page coded as well, Do you want the site to be liquid (expands to meet the full browser height and width) or fixed. Since CSS will be involved, I want to make sure you get exactly what you want.

I'd prefer liquid. If you want to make it fixed, the page should fit nicely in an 800x600 screen size. It probably goes without saying but assuming a fixed width design it should be centered nicely in the browse window.

:) Your portfolio speaks for itself. It's quite varied and I like several of the sites. I hope you submit an entry.

A lot of the templates and designs I've been offered have a similarly "cartoonish" look. I wanted to make sure people didn't/don't waste their time with similar designs. They're also incredibly cookie cutterish in that they could be used for almost anything. There's no sense of individuality to them.

    Great job guys. :)
I prefer the blue hues in Aight's design. It has a richness and softness about it at the same time.

I'd like to see both of your pictures in the top banner have a little more color and elegance in them if possible. A nice picture from istockphoto for example (I'd pay for the non watermarked version later).

I also like how jmul7 has highlighted the featured B&Bs. They stand out far better in his design than in mine.

Last comment, Aight: your left menu bar and the blue banner: Welcome To The Bed and Breakfast Connector don't seem to go together well. Maybe pick a similar blue for the text title and loose the background.

jmul7 don't forget to validate your code. :) Your mistakes are pretty minor and easily fixed.

It's going to be a tough decision and yes there will be a winner chosen. :)
